Jay, I know that you know your basketball, but what I am trying to say is that, I, who has little knowlege can see the difference in how the Magic has won games as opposed to how they lost games. We have won games with lots of ball movement to find the open man. We have won games with outstanding defense. We have won games with a very good starting point guard and a good serviceable backup point guard. Several times I saw Evan taking over at the point guard spot. That is not his job. He is not James Harden, Steph Curry or Damian Lillard. So, basically, by him doing that everything became discombobulated and other players were missing shots because if there was a game plan, it was shot to h-ll. And Evan felt that he should play hero ball.

To add, Evan did not play in the game we won against the Lakers. A game that LeBron played in. I know it's just one game, but we won because of team play.

We're going to mostly stand pat at the deadline because there's really not much out there. We have 2 weeks so maybe things change but it's a weak market. There's not even really a guy we can sit around and argue about whether or not he fits our timeline sitting out there like Conley, Butler, etc of years past. There's no noise that hield is available but it would make sense that he would be. But his poison pill makes it incredibly difficult to swing a trade today vs waiting until the summer. to make it work we'd either need to find a third and probably 4th team to shuffle players around or end up in a situation where we're stuck with an extremely unbalanced roster where we're playing augustin-mcw-Cory Joseph bench lineups for the rest of the year. I could see Chicago making a move but are they ready to cash in Coby White? I don't know. Denver doesn't seem interested in moving Beasley. Portland isn't trading anyone after Lillard's quotes from the other day other than maybe Whiteside. New Orleans wants to try to make a run. San Antonio isn't moving DeRozan now that they're on a 13-10 run. So we have Sacramento stuff, Minnesota stuff, Knicks vets, Cleveland vets, that's about it other than some small contracts here and there

If Fultz trade was so obvious and easy, why didnt any of the other GMs trade for him ? Do you think Philly contacted us and said he guys, we really want Simmons, we can give you Fultz, ok ? Looks easy when done, for sure, but thats just a sign of a good work of our GM.

You know brother MP! He was absolutely sublime for us. Wonderful footballer.

So, are you saying that Evan carried the team? There is a reason why we are not playing how we are capable of, Jay. It takes a village (team), not just the chief to win.

Aaron not even trying to block that dunk... I wouldn’t hate if we tested the market for him.. this is the first time I’ve ever felt that way

I think I want Vooch gone and Keep Evan if I had to choose one gone

Here is where you would have dj and fultz on the floor together, alternating at the point guard and shooting guard position. DJ is a 3 pt threat, Fultz is good on defense and both he and Fultz are good passers. The Celtics would have to pick their poison. By the way, dj knows how to draw the defenders into the paint, then dish it out to the trailer or the 3 pt. shooter.

What your delusional. Not going to defend this stuff anymore. It seems many other members remember it the exact same as i. It was a pick an armchair Gm could have made using other peoples scouting reports.I thought these guys were better.

    1) Nobody was talking about superstars actually, but even considering them like a possibility: we haven't made the right moves recently to have the assets to offer for them (that has been a key point of my management critics recently) so other team surely will have a better hand to trade for them, and we don't have a cap situations that helps convincing a superstar and another great player to join (something like the Leonard-George situation). We've no great contracts to include in such deals, but we have a few overpay instead. We're also not usually in the list of preferred destinations of those stars who asks for a trade. 2) Everything I'm critizing it's exactly because I don't see a plan at all, except the resign all the team just to retain (supposed) assets and stay in the playoff picture. Again, mediocrity, or a mediocre plan, as you prefer.

Agree, Isaac was an easy pick and the point guards in that draft looked like trash at the time. Simmons for Fultz was also easy.Everything points to Philly only wanting a player who was non guaranteed.Everyone had us picking Bamba as well. Literally like every mock. There was more variance on who would pick Doncic and Trea. Meanwhile many non star players have moved around the league the last two years.Bertans,Oubre,Randle,Jabari,Tj warren,Morris brothers,Randle,Bullock,Prince,Schroder,Clarkson,Bogdonovic,Taj,Dunn,Wright,Curry,Bogdon,................seriously i could go on and on. Most of the lesser players moved the last two years we could have been in on, easily. Don't talk to me about cap space, we had some options. My god in almost 8 years Fultz is the only player from another team we acquired as a developmental player who might fit better with us.Not counting the original trades for Tobias and Evan. Sorry for the format, not sure why i can't fix it....lol

1.Every mock draft, even the unreliable ones, had JI at around 6. Easy ass pick man. 2. Is Simmons even playing in the NBA? Length of conversation? It was a no brainer.

Maybe because they didn’t try for him? Boston trades him. His time with Philly wasn’t exactly filled with rainbows. A lot of stuff was coming out. Maybe not true but some GM’s probably didn’t want to touch him. Hell, he even wasn’t our first choice as we were talking to other teams about other PG’s first. Risk? What risk did we take? Jonathon Simmons? Again, is he even in the NBA? We had nothing to lose. I’m not bashing the pick. I want him to succeed and he has the potential but we can’t always resort to sitting on the bottom waiting for **** to fall. That may work in the end but yeah 2030 bruh.

This just goes to show how little some of you understand about basketball. Memphis has literally the exact same team building philosophy as we do and almost an identical roster and almost an identical record. Every player that they've picked is a player I've mentioned that we should look at as they fit our philosophy. Literally every single one down to Melton, Jackson, and Caboclo. If we replaced our management with Memphis' staff we'd be in the exact same position we are today.

Like seriously though. Jonas valenciunas is the closest thing to Vucevic in the league. Jaren Jackson is probably the closest similar player in the league to Isaac Jae Crowder is very similar to Gordon Dillon Brooks is very similar to Fournier Morant is very similar to Fultz Deanthony Melton is near identical to MCW. Solomon Hill is very similar to iwundu They signed Kyle Anderson for the same reason we signed aminu. Tyus Jones isn't much like augustin though. That's the big difference. 9 of their top 10 isn't bad though Edit. Forgot Clarke. Clarke is the one guy I would have definitely picked over okeke but there's a reasonable chance okeke is better.
