  1. Nice to be back here. Been a while.. I'm from Estonia. This guy can ball, in Estonia he played in Kalev/Cramo and in VTB United League, they batteled strong teams from Russia (CSKA, Himki, Zenith and so) He played very well against them. I'm pretty excited to see him play in summer league.

  2. All this time Weltman and Hammond were walking around and talking about how excited they were about Isaiah and someone probably just assumed.

  3. Read both of these NBA Draft overviews of Briscoe: http://www.nba.com/draft/2017/prospects/isaiah_briscoe#/ http://www.nbadraft.net/players/isaiah-briscoe Whats the underlying theme? He’s tough both mentally and physically. Chippy and plays with an edge. Leader. This is the kind of player I want more of on the magic. I have no clue if Briscoe sticks at all but I want guys that are gonna battle in practice the same way they’re gonna battle in games. Briscoe is that guy. We need to continue to get rid of the soft players and change the culture of this franchise. Even if we’re never the most skilled team—let’s be the team other teams don’t enjoy playing.

  4. Also, I just listened to the last 2 minutes of the most recent Woj Pod where he and Bobby Marks talk about what Orlando has done since the new Front Office has stepped in. In Summary: they're both a fan of all the moves so far. They said it has basically taken them 2 years to clean out what Henny left us in but now they have the foundation they want. They thought the Cifford hire was a good one as long as they give the Magic talent on the bench, they could jump up to a playoff team real soon because Clifford will build a steady program. It got me really excited for the new season!

  5. Yeah, well my 1st grade teacher's best friend's nieces' husband said that his yard guy's brother works for Isaiah Thomas' father doing his yard, and he said that your uncle uses Roundup; so he doesn't know anything about yards.

  6. My uncle does the yard work for the usher that dances during Magic games between the 3rd and 4th qtr at Amway Center and he said that the IT deal is eminent. I’m cool with that! Hows that for a source!?!

  7. I'll go out on a limb. If we sign IT and he is healthy (he almost beat us in LA last year late in the year by shooting and driving) AND Bamba lasts the entire season (that is my biggest concern for a 7'0" 225lb one and done lasting 82 games) we will make the playoffs. I do not see Cleveland making the playoffs, Detroit and Charlotte have both regressed, Miami has not improved and we potentially (If Bamba can last) have two first round picks playing this year plus a motivated/improved Gordon. Would that not be great if we gor position 8 and played the Celtics (IT's old team) in round one.

  8. 1 year of IT isn’t settling.

  9. youre position is what can you defend? if you can defend both youre a combo forward if you cant guard either youre a tweener. We have combo forwards in Isaac and Gordon. Tyrus Thomas and Tobias Harris and to some extend Darell Arthur have all been tweeners. Shawn Marion Andre Kirilinko etc were more combo forwards. I may be wrong but thats how ive viewed it for awhile now

  11. If Briscoe is 3rd PG, and we get IT, our PG rotation is tough as nails. I like it. 2 vets in IT and DJ, then a young pitbull in Briscoe. Can't wait to see him play in summer league.

  12. Isaiah Briscoe's 3pt FG% '15-'16 Kentucky - 13.5% '16-'17 Kentucky - 28.8% '17-'18 BC Kalev-Cramo - 39.0% I like the way this is trending haha

  13. As your resident Kentucky basketball fan, let me just say Briscoe will be a interesting prospect to watch. When he was in Kentucky, he was either that bulldog-Marcus Smart-type player that would shut guards down and drive the lane and not let anyone stop him. or He was uninterested and would make baffling ball decisions, sometimes being too headstrong. I think his ceiling could be a better version of DJ. Here's hoping for the better! Now we just need our starting PG. Isaiah would still give us one of the shortest PG rotation ever but I'd at least feel better about the team. Here are some Briscoe highlights if you haven't seen him play

  14. Yeah he might as well have transferred to Montana State, won big sky player of the year and we drafted him with the 43rd pick.

  15. Briscoe is the exact type of 3rd string PG I wanted. Would still hope for a starter that pushes DJ to backup.

  17. My season ticket holder friend who knows the secretary to the office where the GMs work hypothesizes that the hold up on IT is that they are trying to work out a sign and trade that could allow IT a multi year deal. The Magic will do it if it gets rid of a bad contract (Biz). They don't want to use Vuc on this deal for some reason. Magic want a one year deal, but IT is hesitant. My source has been found to be reliable in the past. Mathematically I don't know who we'd absorb to rid of Biz.

  18. The more I think of getting IT the more I like the idea. It is like the same risk/reward as a draft pick except he has a history in the NBA and the potential to be great. Just on the chance that his surgery was a total success and he returns to his old self he is pretty much unguardable. We deserve a break! IMO if we get him we also need to get Jarrett Jack or one of the other seasoned vets available at a cheap price for insurance.

  19. Mario was drafted at the wrong time. We were so focused on trying to make the playoffs that 2015-16 season any mistake he did would lead him to the bench.

  20. Me either. If its one year, it better be a bargain for the Magic for sure. Otherwise cousins money please. If it's a 1 year deal then what difference does it make what we pay him.....????

  21. I'd honestly have anyone but an undersized point guard. Just give me a point guard that can shoot at the very least. I'm spoiled. I want a Lexus or something damn it.

  22. I guess I need to get use to the name Jarren Jackson. He better show up in the regular season. Otherwise, all this was for not.

  23. I want this guy. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/early-lead/wp/2018/03/28/a-nightmarish-12-months-for-isaiah-thomas-ends-with-hip-surgery-praise-from-lakers/

  24. The biggest question mark for me with IT is his health. Can he stay on the floor and play at a high level. I do agree with the idea that we need to start developing a culture of winning. Screw the tanking BS. I think it adversely affects the development in our younger players. We need to take the losing mentality that we've developed over the last 5 years and show it the damn door.

  25. We need at least 1 quality veteran backup! 7-5-18 Yup, that deserves a downvote from some troll LOL
