I do believe that is a great lineup but I would like to mostly with the players that we already have. We are not that far from serious contenders. It was us and the Jazz who surprised everyone at the beginning of the year and we really should be right where they are just in the eastern conference. I want jj, dwight, darko to play their games and we build around them. I would like to keep most of what we already have. maybe one fa(vc/gw/allen/etc) but thats it for me. we dont need to get a whole new team.

I would have liked to see carlos more minutes than jameer but we cant do anything about that for this past season. my thing is carlos maybe a better pg than jameer and he does bring alot more ticket sells due to him being of latin decent but I think and i have said before jameer will continue to play more because of his friendship with dwight. jameer has had a few good games but i would have liked to see more of the lineup of arroyo/sg(jj)/ariza/darko/dwight. it is probably hard decision for magaement becuase they dont want to deal with possibly upsetting dwight by trading jameer or even demotting him although carlos may have been the better pg and brought more to the team as a whole.

I really wanted JJ to get more minutes this year but there is nothing that can be done about that now. I like our team as it now but *** it has been said we would like a player that can drive and create pplays(yes like a vince carter). so my thing is I want JJ to play, period his shooting sick so... what do I do I concentrate on two things a bigger pg to start with him(if I really think he is a defensive liablity ie: dooling) and someone to play the 3 like a vince carter, or if i could get enough productivity out of ariza BUT I WOULD NOT KNOW THAT CAUSE I DID NOT GET TO SEE HIM PLAY THIS YEAR CAUSE OF.... ok im sorry i am back now. I really get mad thinking about at least having the opportunity to see what jj, darko starting, ariza, diener could have been. I think that in itself would have made our offseason that much more clearer. cause then we would have really known what we already had on our roster and then addressed FA and draft accordingly. I think for that reason alone hill should be fired but that is another thread. Um but back to JJ. I want him to start next year. we currently have 3 players on our team that have undeniable talent: dwight, darko, jj. those are the player I believe we need to build aroung, get players that will complement them.

I just think it is so crazy and i find myself doing it as well. everything is so very much so contingent on whether or not b hill remains as coach or not. even when it comes to whether or not gortat should come over or stay another year. the coaching situation REALLY needs to get resolved sooner than later.

i would like dooling to stay and be our starting pg but all we can do is show dooling we will that much better of a team next and that is it. hurrying up with decisions that need to be made (ie: coach, darko, etc) will lean him either towards or away. if we make the SMART decisions we will be more attractive to retain players we need to retain(darko, dooling) and bring in almost any fa they want and get them for the right price because they want to play for a contender.

Very Nice indeed! No but seriously I have hopes for gortat as well. I love the potential of this team and our prospects. I just don't know when everything will come together. hopefully if and when b hill is not the coach we will turn tha final corner and push to make it back to the playoffs and go far. And hopefully and probably gortat can be part of all of that.

I see alot of people are concerned about our PG position and wanting a fa to come in. I think we have the pg we need in dooling/arroyo/diener/nelson. I really don't want to spend to much of our cap on a fa when in my opinion our main focus should be re-signing Darko and then everything else secondary. I think we should also be showing darko this buy not worry about anything other than him and our coaching situation. all of our pgs can be told to be pass first or else and i bet that they will do what is asked of them. if we go after this blake guy though we need to trade one or two of our pgs obviously and which one do you then chose?

I also don't think we should trade him. At this point I really REALLY think him dwight friendship is why he stayed in a starting role this past year. If jameer is brought of the bench with the second unit then maybe and maybe even as a sg(with a pass first pg)because he like to shoot too much as a pg. that is really scary that jameer as our starting pg never reached more than 8 assist this year. i had to look it up but he averaged less than hill and turk in ast in the playoffs and for the season only avg 4.3 per game? number 45 in assists leaders behind blake, stoudamire, diaw?, odom, joe johnson. some of those people are not even pg. seriously he needs to play in the second unit or be given a different mentality.

I think if we work to start: dooling/JJ/ariza/darko/dwight and have depth with carlos/jameer/turk/battie/gortat/draft big man/fa sg we will be more than just contenders next year. the coach was what was wrong with this year. yes players missed free throws and shots BUT rotation adjustments and players getting more minutes vice sticking to a written in stone lineup would have allowed us towin more games then we did equalling going farther into the playoffs. #1 Priority must be darko he is going to be good and dont need to trade him for nobody. anything else is secondary(i say this with brian hill already fired because that should have already happened in my opinion but should happen before the free-agency starts in july). GO MAGIC! Believe in our players, they all need time to play as a team. We don't need another huge player. Me personally I want to win with this team (maybe bring in vc) but that is it. I like our youth. I like our team we just need everyone to get one the same page and know their role.

I don't think anyone hates Brian Hill as a person and I have said it before. His coaching style just was not what the Orlando Magic need/needed. So I think most if not all of the people that were saying the overly-derogatory things about him(name calling and what not)just knew Brian Hill as the coach and the person that was not doing what was in the best interest of the team because of whatever reason. Most if not all the people that have said those things just really really love this team and as fans you juust don't want to see one person bring down something that means alot to you. I mean some people invest money(buying season ticket, etc.) into this team and just want the best. I also wish him and his family much success he just does not need to be the coach of the Orlando Magic.

That is true I will wait before I pop some bubbly cause I mean this really needs to happen but as of right now it has not. It is like JJ really needed to play alot more than he did, but he didn't. Like darko should have been the starter for most of this year if not at the beginning, but that did not happen either. it sounds good and it along with the other examples of OBVIOUS things that needed change have been there all season but nothing ever got done. I will keep hope alive but until it happens and is official will i truly be relieved.

i even got so upset about the whole situation with brian hill that i was on the brink of renting one of those planes with the banners on the back and have it say fire brian hill. i have since calmed down and with what is coming out in the news here as of recent i believe the orlando players and fans will get there wish.

Exactly what tough break said. if you are a magic that means you watching the games which means you have seen the reason why are up and coming young stars were not allowed to reach there full potential. it was plain to see and very obvious and blatent. it was more brian hills fault than anyone else why our season was the way it was. yeah missed free throws and turnovers but if adjustments in playing style and personel would have been made(that is the responsibility of the coach) than we would have done that much better. 100% of magic fans want brian hill no longer to be the coach of the orlando magic.

I don't hate B Hill as a person, but as a coach he is not the right fit for our team. And i am glad this is coming out and as someone else said as long as he has nothing to do with what goes on on the court or any further "influence" on our up and coming young superstars, then whether he is part of this organization or not I could care less. The adjustments he should have made he id not make because of personal decision and not what was right for the team, period. Anyone like that especially around our young players is not what we need.

Well my straight up answer is I would feel better if Brian Hill was not here, period.

i like what emory said. we will improve regardless but we could have done better and there would have been more devolpment if b hill was not hindering jj, ariza, and darko from playing the minutes they should have been. like i have said before it would be different if those players said they did not want to play or if they were injured the entire year but neither was the case. maybe even if otis let brian hill know(because he does know) how the lineup should go and b. hill followed that then AND ONLY THEN, BUT SHOULD A GM HAVE TO DO THAT?

I think our first priority should be re-signing Darko and ensuring him of an increase(starting)role. to have him and dwight starting would be sick and cause opponents to be sick! getting the scorer who ever it may be needs to be second. jameer does not need to be re-signed for anything crazy and if he is anytype of hinderance for resigning darko and/or scorer or at any point thinks himself "entitled" to a contract, cut him. he should come off the bench BECAUSE JJ needs to start and since everyone keeps saying they cant start together I personally choose JJ over jameer. And I think also if we sign a vince or lewis we should try to convert jj to a pg. JJ needs to start, period. But thats just my opinion. imagine... jj/vince/ariza/darko/dwight!! bench of... dooling/nelson/turk/gortat/battie/hill?/rookie big man)I like!!! GO MAGIC!!!!

I voted yes ONLY IF: (1)vet minimum (2)reduced role-off the bench He owes this team, period. He owes it to the youngster to stay in a limited role as a veteran mind. I don't want him to be a veteran leader as some have said cause although young DWIGHT HOWARD is the leader of this team and needs to continue to grow into that role.

You put JJ on which ever of the 2 opposing guards is shorter and/or less of a threat. Or even a zone defense. Making adjustments this season that where obvious to everyone else but because for whatever reason B Hill( I think just plain stubborness) caused us to as jack j said not to progress as a team to a much higher level which I believe we could have reached(although darko came on strong and we NEED to resign him). Did anyone notice in game 3 when they were at a timeout(i am sorry about not being more specific but I think it was in the 3rd quarter) that b hill was giving out a play and dwight was looking at him like he was crazy? and then when b hill looked at dwight he just shook his head turned walked about 2 feet and told battie something like he was not going to do what b hill had just said and that they need to do something else?

JJ will start I hope. I mean the talk about defense... SO make the right adjustment so that our BEST PURE SHOOTER PERIOD can get to play. I have said it before it is simple. You start JJ with Dooling/tall FA point guard along with Ariza/Darko or Battie(I prefer Darko)/Dwight. Our 2 forwards and center make up for any "lack of defense" everyone keeps saying JJ has(I don't agree).

Ball junkie I agree with you when you say that it is pathetic to pull for a team to lose just there coach could get fired. that is wrong, plain and simple. and anyone on this board that WANTS the ORLANDO MAGIC to LOSE so that Brian Hill could be fired needs to step back and realize 1: it does not take a team losing to get a coach fired(san diego chargers), 2: you are not a fan of a team you WANT to lose, 3: as ball junkie said the team is bigger than brian hill, otis and company have made some great decision for this team, the orlando magic have beaten teams they "were not supposed to beat", and we have 3 possible starts for the magic who are 21. yes ariza, darko, dwight, that will do nothing but get better, you throw jj in there with his sick shooting and hill or dooling for a starting five and you have a serious problem for opposing teams. you are taking away jj "defensive issue" by having him guard the shorter of the 2 guards and having a ridiculous amount of height/defense on the court. positive talk i could go on all day but when the frustration is staring you in the face you have to talk real.

i don't think people HATE brian hill. his coaching style has not really worked on a consistent basis, if at all. you ask us to put the team before one person which in this case is the coach. and i know i do but i will tell you brian hill is control of who plays as the coach and everyone can see that he is making OBVIOUS mistakes with who his starters are/how many minutes they play and HIS "ROTATION". i mean do you think that the team is making these decision? jj saying he does not want to play at all because nelson is the starter so he can take my minutes? i mean the coach can not make the shots but he can make the adjustments to put the players that can contribute to the team in. NO REAL MAGIC FAN "PULLS" FOR OUR TEAM TO LOSE.

Now this is encouraging. He did say though earlier that he did not think you changed the lineup at this point of the season, but whatever. if he has changed his mind for whatever reason then so be and i hope to see jj in the game as much as possible. GO MAGIC!!!!

Nah its cool militarymagic. nothing but true fans wanting the best for the the team. i think everyone can see that brian hill is not what we need right now. now some people may wawnt to show there frustration in different ways(booing, t-shirts, planes =), oh my)but whether it may be an out of place reaction that will not help the team(booing in my opinion for game 3 of course), or something that i straight to the point(t-shirt, plane with banner)the cause of these reactions is real. yes of course you dwight missing some free throws, turk and grant missing shots, everyone has there flaws. but BRIAN HILL'S PLAN IS NOT WORKING AND HAS NOT WORKED FOR A LONG TIME AND HE WILL NOT CHANGE IT! Player's make adjustment's when things aren't going right for them. If there shot is not falling they drive to the basket. Brian Hill, Nelson and Battie are not working against Billups and Wallace. Adjust accordingly.

chanting now would not help the team and i actually think it would hurt them. so i suggest waiting til game 4 because at this point we still have a chance and anything negative is not what our team needs. GO MAGIC, I dont care who is playing just as long as we win.
