I haven't given up on Gordon, the past 3 games hes looked like the player he was in the playoffs at times. Hopefully that continues

His defense is quite bad. A big reason Doncic did go off is because Vooch plays his PnR coverage extremely poorly against guards who get into the paint. He keeps dropping and never commits. The Doncic floaters in the 2nd half that Vooch defended were almost comical in the way Nik kept backing up -- he gave Luka a free pass right to the front of the rim.

i have been consistent about liking Vuc. I like him as a piece for us. I like what he does and dont think his defense is as bad as advertised. I wanted to resign him and happy we did. I think we need to build on Vuc, Isaac, Gordon, Fultz, and ross. Outside of horrific shooting, I do think some of the issue has been coaching. In the half court, I think the coach could use fultz better. I think we have not continued to go to the hot hand on offense. example, gordon having like 19pt vs dallas in first half and we barely go to him in the second half. That is on the coach and play calls made. We should have had continued to attack with gordon. We need to continue to find our gamely miss matches and feed the hot hand. I think Doncic does not go off in the second half if we dont allow him to rest by not attacking with gordon. It just common since. Feed the person who has been scoring and has the best match up. We fail at that so we fail to score and we fail to win.

I agree with all of the above. But, the statement I put in bold I agree with that 100%. DJ is an excellent shooter and one of our best 3 pt scorers. As you said, it would help if DJ and MCW could switch roles coming off the bench with MCW as the point guard. That would take some of the load off of DJ, allowing him a little more room to make shots. I've noticed that defenders are playing him tight, not giving him the room to make the 3 pointers. DJ can make those shots that Ross use to make.

Not saying he's killin it, but DJ leads our team in assists. Hopefully, Fultz's numbers will increase as the players get to know each other better, and he continues to assert himself. I have wondered if we should switch the roles of MCW and DJ coming off the bench. I think the pace of MCW as a PG may create openings for DJ, and since he is the superior shooter, that might create more points. I have also wondered about switching Fournier and MCW and giving JI a more prominent role in our starting offense. I am with you when it comes to AG. I think he may breakout. However, since he is sort of a bull in a china shop when he is taking it to the rim, I would like to see him vary his pace when he is working his way into the paint as Fultz does. That might create an advantage for him and also start getting him some of those officiating calls we are always perplexed about.

Yes, fultz does well finishing at the basket and making good plays in the lane. We just need to run more plays for him to do it.

Oh i would do it in a heartbeat. I just wonder if they would screw over Hayward who is obviously good in Brad Stevens system. Vucevic's declining salary is huge in this scenario. Kemba,Smart,Brown,Tatum and Vooch would be lethal offensively, with their wings covering up on defense. Meanwhile, how much better would our players be with a play making forward? Maybe Ross and Fournier stop jacking up bad shots and turning the ball over.Gordon actually plays the 4 with Isaac being a small ball 5 in crunch time. Sign me up please!

Boston loves Vucevic. Boston's biggest weakness is at center. They have zero reliable options there. Boston has 139 million committed for next season on 13 players. They have 3 first round picks next year, one potential lotto pick if it falls outside of the top 6 so there's a chunk of guaranteed salary there. I think resigning Brown to that number means they're prepared to keep him. He's basically untradable this year They have Brown, Tatum, smart, on the wings. They have Kemba and carsen at point. They have theis and Williams at 4. They have nobody at 5. Kanter is hurt and bad. Williams has been terrible. If poirier was any good he'd be playing. They're 5-1 and good enough to probably be outside contenders but they're currently the worst rebounding team in the NBA. Vucevic is an appealing player for them because he's significantly better than anyone on roster. He's a "big name" with his all star status. He'd save them 8 million next year. Hayward is good but superfluous. Vucevic can replicate his scoring while also not stepping on Tatum and Brown's game. I think it's something that's going to happen.

    Vuc/Fournier for Russell/Cousins/filler I called it first. Can’t wait for December 15th!

Oh no! Vucevic is our best player! Those from Boston who read our posts on this forum can’t know this. Any previous post about Vuc’s suckage are fake posts to mislead the Boston fan base. Losing Vuc would just kill this team! Highway robbery!

Thanks, 4thewin. I wanted to say something in opposition to what some are suggesting about trading for Russell. As I have mentioned so many times, the Warriors are my second favorite team. I had never seen this DLo play before he was traded to the Warriors, but in watching a few of their games, my opinion is he has a little Fournier and Gordon in him. DLo has to have the ball in his hands, he plays hero ball, and although he can hit some 3's, like Fournier, he is a chucker. As for the Gordon side of him, he dribbles out of control. Please don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that the Magic trade Aaron. I think he will get it together and be the scorer we know he can be. And lastly, l-e-a-v-e DJ alone! Where is the Magic going to find a bench player who will fill that role better than DJ? Now, I am fine with DJ as the starter, at least for a few more months, but I have no problem with Clifford letting Fultz take the reigns as starting point guard to make sure what they have in him.
