Lebron might as well own the Laker team. Maybe they will gift him the team when he retires. Lololol

That’s very interesting. Maybe they know he is signing an Extension with LA? But hopefully it means he is coming here! :)

Also that’s a pass on Klay Thompson for me if we have to sign him to a long term contract. He isn’t the same player after the injuries no matter how well he shoots. His defense has fallen off a cliff which made his game even more appealing.

Wow the Thunder just traded Josh Giddey for Alex Caruso of the Bulls. Not sure how I feel about it, seems like Bulls got the better end of that deal.

He became one of the best players in Europe. Surprised me And look at our guy JJ Redick coaching the Lakers! -- I'd like for us to go for any guard that can shoot, really. Garland would be nice

Hezonja apparently got multiple NBA offers.. I’d definitely go after him for that Ingles role. He’s definitely grown as a person in Europe. He’ll be fine in the NBA!!

Neither Franz nor Paolo are good enough with the ball to be full time ball handlers right now. I think we absolutely do need someone who can be that, even if they aren’t always used that way

We can’t get Klay and Paul, we don’t have that much cap space. I would love to get PG, as I think he has more years left than Klay; but I really don’t think we will be able to get either one. I would love to see us get Murray, as he is much closer to the Point/Combo Guard I think we need. I think Jones would be a good fit.

We'd win championship next season with those 2 and we stayed healthy... PG alone we would be in the East finals for sure... Regardless we are championship contenders from this coming season onwards

I think there is a chance they go in for all the marbles....if we can get Paul & Klay, Magic should not loose a game like they did in game 7 of the playoffs vs the Cavs. For 2 or 3 years nobody would mind seeing this team on the court....winning, winning BIG.

My NO to Klay is as convinced as my NO to Trae, even if for different reasons. In the last few days, I've read some posters seeing similarities between us and Boston, and while I agree in some details (construction and patience with the roster stars), don't forget that Boston is a team that has a starting lineup in which all 5 players are good to great shooters, and their style is to shot as much 3 as possible, doing it at a great rate. (Actually, the other finalist, Dallas, was the second team shotting the most 3's) So, the comparison dies there for me, we're in the opposite side when speaking abouts style/players strenght.

Not point guard... Combo guard yes for me.. a pure PG is not a necessity... a extra ball handler with a good handle and shot is what we need... Paul George would be outstanding and instantly make us 2nd favourites to come out the East... Weltman gets this off season right and we are about to take over For me personally FRANZ needs to handle to ball way more... if Klay comes Franz is gonna reach a different stratosphere and Paolo obviously too will be better for it...

I don’t think Klay will sign a new contract anywhere for less than four years, and I’m not sure he even has two left. The injuries have piled up the last few years and that takes a toll. I don’t hate the theory, but I’m not sold on the actual. I agree that our first priority should be a point guard to take the ball handling pressure off of Franz and Paolo. I wish we could depend on a healthy Fultz, but I think that ship has sailed. If we bring him back, he will be a 15-20 minute backup at best, with the kind of restrictions that JI has had the previous season.

Anybody who says no to us having Klay you need to give your head a wobble.. 3 year contract.. 3rd year team option lovely jubbly.... sign me up.. Basically replacing Gary for Klay look No brainer... If Klay wants to come and does come.. it's gonna be a chip on his shoulder..motivated Klay... 1 of the best SHOOTERS EVER!!! Gonna be amazing for us... manage him abit like J.I but not nearly as much... Suggs..Klay..Franz..Paolo..Wendell LOL Now imagine PG13 and Klay... front office would have to get tekky with it..... Suggs..Klay..PG13..Franz..Paolo.. AB..Cole..Isaac.. Wendell?. Mo Wagner I'm just chucking ideas

    community Draft Boards

I’ll start. 18th: 1. McCain - obvious shooting fit, but he is more than just a shooter. Great team defender and plays bigger than he is 2. Terrence Shannon Jr. - i love the skill set he provides. Two way player. Leader, great mentality. He’s NBA ready, but he’ll be 24 when he starts his NBA career. So when we draft him, he’s playing right away, maybe even starting. There is no G League development with this guy 3. Salaun - He’s not NBA ready. But his upside is special. He could end up being one of the best players in this draft. He’ll need G-League for at least a year though. So no immediate help and more bet on the future 4. Da Silva - NBA ready. I will keep calling him Franz 2.0. We draft him, he’ll immediately replace Ingles as our SF off the bench. love the fit, love the pick. 5. Ware - I’m kinda scared of this pick. The film shows really high highs but very low lows. Interviews and background check would be needed for me to make this pick. I’m tired of low energy guys so that would be a point of emphasis 6. Tyler Smith - great skill set, modern PF and could potentially play center. Reminds me of C. Bosh. high upside but won’t make the rotation anytime soon. Unless we think Isaac can play SF note: I’m taking notes of possible players that might drop. Topic, Holland, C. Williams and Dillingham have potential to fall for different reasons. Topic and Holland move on top of my board if they’d fall to us. Skeptical about Dillingham (on our team) and C. Williams (inconsistent, frame) 48th pick: - This can’t be cash considerations if these players are available for some reason. 1. Djurisic 2. Mogbo 3. AJ Johnson 4. Klintmann 5. Edwards 6. Bona Note: Dark horse Ryan Dunn. Can’t imagine him falling this deep, but if he does, he moves up and i’m drafting him

Apparently we’re now tied with the Warriors for most likely to sign Klay Thompson according to Vegas gambling odds. Also the Paul George rumors are heating up again today… the next 2 weeks can’t go by fast enough!

I guess I’m not seeing the same team you are. I’m seeing a team where particularly towards the end of close games, they give the ball to either Frantz or Paulo and let them go one versus the other team. I don’t care how good you are individually. As Boston has shown, great team play will beat great individual efforts every time. In order to get there, we need more to complement Frantz and Paulo. They also need to develop a mindset of getting their teammates involved, even at the end of games. I continue to believe that this evolution starts with our getting a high-quality point guard.

Monk is a streaky shooter who would be a good spot up shooter some games and at least a threat. But he is not the facilitator that would take pressure off Franz and Paolo handling the ball. He would not be my main option this off season.

While I like the fit on the court, I'm not sure Monk's personality matches our locker room. Beyond his indefinite drug suspension back in the day, this kind of post just seems different than we have right now.

Or it could be that the pistons fired him because they were terrible and he seemed at odds with the players and the front office the whole time
