Always liked his intensity. Maybe they will actually play him to see if he has anything left in the tank. Why not?

I wasn't upset so I appreciate your calm response, and your additional information written blow is exactly the kind of discussion I'd love to have because you were very clear, concise, and your opinion was that you don't think that that would be enough. And that's perfect... I would be willing to trade the number one pick and paolo if that's what it took to get. Luca but I definitely would trade less pics if I was trading both those lol

I hear you, MagicMan. Hypothetically, it's one thing if Suggs gets an ankle injury when he either twist it while his foot is close to/on the floor--or--an opponent step on his foot causing a twisted ankle--but when you go flying in the air (surrounded by 2 or 3 defenders) like you are superman, you don't know how you are going to land. At least the comic strip character can control his body when he takes off. -
Right now, through 60 games, the 20-year-old Banchero is averaging 20.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists. The only rookies in NBA history who averaged 20-plus points, six-plus rebounds and three-plus assists were Jordan, Walter Davis, Blake Griffin, Larry Bird, and Luka Doncic. I think he is good True Blue Nation….

It’s the football mentality he has. He is very reckless with his drives. I was so happy when we drafted him. He has been a disappointment. Glad the Franz pick made up for it. -

I have decided I have two dream draft outcomes in this draft. I think one of them will be very popular with Magic fans and one of them will be very unpopular. Dream Option 1 - Draft a bunch of shooting. Basically pick 2 of Dick, Hawkins, Jett, Keyonte and then pick Brandin Podziemski in round 2 Basically just a boat load of shooting to go around Paolo/Franz. Dream Option 2 - Chaos. We get both the Thompson twins. Does it make sense? Do they fit? How would it work? Is it even possible? (Probably not) Who cares. I think they're incredible and it'd be hilarious to watch people melt down about not drafting shooting only to lose their minds when they see some of the stuff they do in summer league. I think in reality we'll end up with neither of those things and just rather sensibly take who we think is BPA at both picks before trading 35 because we don't want to carry 3 rookies. And like, that'll be fine and it'll probably work out. But I genuinely think I'd be more excited if we drafted Dick and Hawkins/Jett than if we drafted, for example Walker and Wallace (two prospects who in a vacuum, and seemingly by consensus are more well regarded than any of Dick/Jett/Hawkins). And I think the reason for that is I think BPA is kind of an important but also flawed concept because a player can only ever be as good as the situation he's in allows and our situation is absolutely screaming for some flame throwers where it's not at all screaming for another true PF for example.

Suggs is prone to injury. Because of his recklessness, he's constantly on the floor on his backside than I never want to see. In the Memphis game, he had just returned from a concussion, and he fell again on his backside. I immediately reacted because he stayed in the game. Over the years, when I was younger, I slipped and fell on my backside 3 times. Twice, the back of my head hit on concrete floors. I was fortunate not to get a concussion or serious brain damage. When you fall on your backside, you do not have control of your neck or head. Your neck immediately snaps back and your head hits the floor. The coaches or training staff need to bring to Suggs attention the danger of how he is playing. - Yesterday

Cole has drastically improved this year, at least on offense. I still don't want to commit to him long-term, at least not yet. Meanwhile, saying Suggs is having career high shooting numbers misses the big picture, imho. For a number 5 overall pick, he's been far worse than anyone expected, and even with his improvement this year, he's only shooting 41% and 31%. Furthermore, he's constantly hurt because of the reckless nature with which he plays the game. As a fan, I was elated when we picked him at 5, but I'm not sure he'll make it in the league, at least as a starter, unless we see significant improvement. -
I apologize if I given you that sensation, but if you read my message back, it was only a confirmation of what CT wrote, and I was actually pointing out the general situation of the forum (I imagine not only the Orlando Magic one, all fans probably do the same) in hoping to get superstar players for "cheap". I've actually mentioned Jaylen cause was one of the most recent ones, but every season and every year there's such a (normal) tendency. I'm convinced your proposal would not be enough for Dallas, not even close, but I could clearly be wrong. To pry Doncic from them right now they would probably need the assurance of the n1 pick to take Wemb, and who knows if they value him enough? Without him included, more picks, or specifically more talent (Wagner or Banchero) would be necessary IMO.

I disagree. Your statement specifically calls me out as if i am living on another planet. If you have some optional idea that you think would be the asking price of an upset doncic in dallas (who is rumored to have a close relationship with our coach) then by all means give me your opinion. I see alot of these superstar trades you mention and the asking price is alot, however almost all of the historical trades DO NOT have multiple picks traded in the same upcoming draft. That is what makes the value of the draft pick and salary matching games. My suggestion is if a team had a sure bet of a #1-3 (if we get one of those) and a chicago #10 in this upcoming draft is Supremely more valuable then the promise of the Magics Pick in 2024, 2026, and 2028 and 2030 and some additional players. that is how most superstar trades value goes for. Example KD traded for (unprotected 23,25,27,29 picks) and three rotation players. My suggestion was we could send two top ten picks this year and future first (which is three picks already) additional 2nds this year and next, and players to make salary. That is exactly what it cost for durant. (im not gonna debate youth/age/experience/promise yes i understand those all shape the decisions) I would think Dallas would love to take JI who might be great, but they can cut for 1mil and use that money, plus fultz was my suggestion but they have Kyrie so maybe they dont need a guard. I would trade Paolo if they wanted him as i think Luka and franz would be much better in the end then franz and paolo (even though F&P could be great, not doubting that)

To be fair both are having career high shooting numbers and have improved from last year. Cole is even shooting above average from three for the first time in his career. -

Good thing: we fought back. Bad thing: we should have never create such a big hole against a Memphis team that was severely undermanned. For all the problems we had in the past with health, in the last couple months that hasn't be a big issue, and almost every team we played had a worst situation than us. We should have approached the game with more killing instinct. -

I am. Suggs and Cole are streaky, and their streakiness have been costly because they are overconfident and many times make bad decisions because of it. No matter what team the Magic are playing, and no matter how bad things are going for our team, their mentality is "I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing, even though I am part of the problem" when winning a game is on the line. -

I wouldn't say it's awful - it's just streaky. There are plenty of nights the past few games he's been 6-10 and 2-3 from 3. Just a bad night shooting for him. I'm not worried. -

Agree. If we would have taken smarter shots early on we wouldn't have had such a big hole to climb out of, and probably would have easily won. When guys are having a really bad night we need to pull them, or at least tell them to stop jacking up 3s that they aren't going to make. -

Well this team certainly doesn’t quit. Gotta love the resolve we’re building for the future. Tough night for the chase. Everybody else were competing with that played tonight won. We can no longer catch Atlanta or Toronto and the Chicago magic number to eliminate us is down to 2 (combined Bulls wins and Magic losses) -
