Not gonna lie, Lonzo looks great in these scrimmages! If it wasn’t for health issues, he’d be exactly what we need! Id be willing to swing on him in next years FA!

best thing for Paolo that could have happened.. He would have only had little minutes. Now he focused on working on his craft. He will get better shooting and already has all the basics down to perfection!!!

France center Mathias Lessort admitted the teams game-plan was to sell out against Franz Wagner: “Don’t give him an open lane or basket in the paint. We know he likes to attack. He’s really physical. He’s a great player obviously” Lessort added via @BasketNews_com I hope Franz learns from this. He definitely needs to add to his game. He needs more options on offense. Getting to the rim is elite!

It’s actually not too hard to understand. Schröder is great at Team Germany, because he’s the main vocal point. Everything runs through him. He has the ball in his hands the majority of the time. He’s the scorer, he’s the playmaker, he’s the leader. No NBA team has given Schröder this role. And he’s simply not effective playing off the ball too much. So although i’d love the idea of Schröder joint Orlando. (I also believe we could make him the main vocal point off the bench) I just don’t see it happening. Just because we had a season of Markelle being here, and not being the guy off the bench. We played him off ball and gave Ingles the ball as a playmaker. Another point is that we just added TDS, who will be a playmaker off the bench and probably AB ready to make that step. So where does Schröder fit?

https://x.com/heinnews/status/1820194539627573733?s=46 Germany just won the U18 European Championship against Serbia!! Several ballers out there. I already mentioned Karchenkov, the german Klay Thompson. But most impressive was Christian Anderson. People say he’s the most talented player Germany has ever produced(german coaches and ex players commented on this) Also really impressive the Serbian Point god Savo Drezgic Christian Anderson is a player to watch. He’s committed to Texas Tech. Savo Drezgic is committed to Georgia. More and more top talents are committing to college to earn big money. European Basketball is loosing its talents, but it’s also their fault as well. Usually talents only get little playing time and especially in Euroleague it’s not possible for the majority of these players to get a roster spot and a good role

Problem with Schröder. He definitely needs the ball in his hands. And that’s something we don’t want to build. We don’t even have a starting PG who will run the offense. Last season, even Fultz was forced to play off ball. We ran the second unit through Ingles. I love Schröder and especially in national team he is a force. But i don’t see it working in Orlando

First half was a team basketball masterclass! Germany up 21 against France. Freaking amazing. Franz with 16 and 2/2 from 3! Team Germany reminds me so much of what Orlando is trying to do. Team basketball is also the future in the NBA. Imo Germany has set the tone in this regard. Team USA followed the lead this year. They also play way more team oriented.

I remember how nobody saw that pick coming.. It was kinda a shocker like Jett Howard.. His name has never ever came up on any board, sports site, mock draft or whatever.. His selection was a huge shock to me. I did film after the draft and actually also liked the potential role player. It has never worked out though. Part of it might be his shooting form. Another part is imo his personality. He seems really shy and introverted. He always sounded like somebody with a lack of self confidence, from a far away fan perspective. This kinda showed on the court.

Good for him! I hope he can break out! I actually believe he will. Unfortunately we didn’t have the roster spot for him.. Looking back, i was surprised we drafted him, thought he was a huge reach and it proofed to be true. Wasted pick.. My three favorites were Keldon Johnson, Nassir Little and Nickeil Alexander Walker. In that order. So except of Johnson maybe, we didn’t miss out on anything big. Great human and teammate though. Wish him only the best!
