i think everything that is being said about our offense is common sense and everybody sees and knows that, besides Jay Magic and Weltman, which makes me think they are one person lol
-
OKC happen to draft one pick before us. Their scouting is exceptional and imo they will snatch up our draft targets They pick 15th and 24th.
-
somehow i never can see pics (i assume) that you are posting. Do you have a link?

agree, but it’s not Cory vs the Celtics.. we gotta work what we got
-
AB was awful. But in the starting lineup he wouldn’t have to worry about playmaking. In the playoffs the load is all on Paolo and Franz. I didn’t see the benefit of Joseph in the Celtics game. Major liability on defense because they isolated him and on offense he wasn’t handling the ball. AB is also a decent off ball cutter and can slash to the basket, get offensive boards and just play free and scrappy on defense. That’s a really nice defined role for him. Cole needs. to be the lead guard off the bench. We need that scoring punch and when he gets it rolling, he’ll keep us in games.
-
The reason why Joseph and Caleb are playing is because Joseph could take the pressure off Paolo and Franz handling the ball and Caleb got hot and hit threes. That’s how this coach rolls. Don’t agree that Isaac has been terrible at the 4. I agree that Isaac has been underwhelming, imo due to his weight gain, but Isaac, just like the others had a great game at center that led Mosley to keep playing him at the 5.

it’s frustrating because i said that before the game. But Mosley always rides with what is currently working. That’s why multiple players have been in and out of the rotation. Playing 3rd string players against the Celtics is just malpractice. starters AB, KCP, Franz, Paolo, WCJ bench Cole, TDS, Isaac, Bitadze thats the group that should be playing

let me add. I have zero confidence this FO will do the necessary things. Why? - Mosleys main lead assistant was agreed on that he can get another job. Ok fair. But til this day, they didn’t replace him. Basically saying that position is not needed. - The FO proved it has weak hands. They are scared to do the necessary. They are fearful to mess with team chemistry and also have weak asset management. At the deadline Fox, Butler, C. White, Schroeder were all available. They could have breaked the bank for Fox. That Spurs offer was weak. Scared to loose assets. Kawhi got Toronto a championship and D. Mitchell turned the Cavs around and made them contenders and he decided to stay. We have so many good arguments for Fox to stay. At least give it a shot. He would have been one of the few perfect fits for this team. You see the impact of Butler on the warriors. Scared to mess with team chemistry. Butler would have made us contenders right away. He just plays the right way.

so imo,the lack of offense is on coach. I don’t think we have crappy players. Some would excel somewhere else. WCJ for instance. Dude is a huge body and can move well. He’s a pick and roll lob threat. But we don’t use him that way. Paolo and WCJ could dominate down low. Yet we rarely see them engage with one another. That’s on coach to draw that up. KCP: from what i’ve seen, he can get hot and he hits those midrange shots at a high percentage. Yet we rarely put him in pick and roll situations or screen him open for a midrange. Wagner: He’s a mismatch anywhere on the floor. We don’t use him that way. He’s become a player whose spotting up. Terrible. I see the difference on german national team. Schroeder is the ball dominant player and coach Herbert (who i advocated for as an assistant) had Franz doing all kinds of off ball stuff. Ok and here is the thing. Coach Mosley has been pretty vocal about it. He wants players on the court to find the solutions. Imo that only takes you that far. Players always have different opinions on how we should play. You can’t expect a ball dominant player to like Paolo to make the reads on every play. The offense needs to be drawn up and players should rely on teammates to execute. One example..So often, we see Paolo on top of the key with his back to the basket. Ok cool. But he’s dribbling up there and looking to score. What he should be doing is collapsing the defense, because he’s such a threat and then facilitate to teammates who execute a play. Denver play that way with Jokic/ M. Malone and also Sacramento with Sabonis/Mike Brown. Also the Warriors Green/ Kerr. We have a chance to be really special, but this coach has no clue on offense. I like him, players like him, but this FO must realize he needs an offensive minded assistant! Or at least somebody who can draw up a nice playing philosophy. I still like Mike Brown with us! The way Sacramento players under him would make us better!

Disagree on my boy Franz here. He played a solid half at best. He was 1-6 from 3 and had a +/- of -13. The worst at that time. He had some points on the board, but that was about it. Bad turnovers. His stats should have showed more. Some turnovers that were on Franz were counted on WCJ for example. Speaking of WCJ. I was a fan of his. But something is wrong with him. He’s terrible. Can’t hit a jumper, can’t do anything and has a big mouth and attitude like he’s dominating or something.

Boston crushed us in cruise control. They didn’t even play hard. But i didn’t expect us to win a game anyways. This Boston team is a super team. Really well put together and they got over relying on two star players. They celebrate team basketball with little egos. Not only do players have to learn from this, i hope our coach learns as well. Not too confident. I like Mosley. But he doesn’t seem to adjust very good. He’s just throwing stuff out there and if they have a good game, he’ll stick with it, til it goes bad again. WTH is he thinking with this 10 men rotation? Didn’t he learn from last years playoffs? It was a bad idea then, and it’s still bad. Rotation should be AB-KCP-Franz-Paolo-WCJ bench Cole, TDS, Isaac and Bitadze if needed.

no he’s right. Or offensive system is stagnant. Whenever i watch other commentators, that’s what they always say as well. That is on coach! What happened to Wagner. The off ball assassin. Dude was known for this elite skill. You can’t contain him with all the off ball cuts he does. But it’s gone. This offense set is called Ball Hawk. One gets the ball and the others observe
-
But you never understand that concept of criticism and being a negative troll. Everybody is negative in your opinion. Like today Wagner. You can’t let somebody call out Wagner for his terrible game today. That doesn’t mean he’s bad in general. But today, he’s been among the worst, especially for what he’s getting paid for.
-
Your not the bad guy Jay. You are the always optimist, always positive, always pro Magic burner account of Weltman lol. You are one of those positive trolls. But troll is a troll to me. Not possible to have a reasonable discussion
-
True. Like i said before though, this is on the coach as well. He has them playing like this on offense
-
Sometimes it would be nice if you would get a dose of realism. Babir wasn’t wrong. Wagner is playing horrible. Especially for that big contract he signed.
-
Wagner is killing us..But this is on coach.. We have Paolo dribbling and forcing double teams and 4 guys that can’t shoot camping out on the 3 point line. Franz superpower is getting to the rim. Especially off ball. Coach is taking that away from him and making him a ball dominant player. He’s not that guy.
-
great first half. Somehow i feel Boston is t playing their best effort. But still. Our defense is good and Paolo is amazing at basketball. Franz great getting to the rim, just wished he didn’t adopt Fultz shooting form. lol
-
i just don’t understand Mosley. We probably the only playoff rotation using 10 players. Joseph and Houstan on the floor together? They played cleanup minutes for most of the season.
-
yeah absolutely. He’s really really nervous
-
scoring is too hard for us. we are hanging in there, but this has blow out potential
-
I hope we stay competitive.. I didn’t expect Cory Joseph and Houstan to be in our playoff rotation, so i don’t know how that will go. Its Jrue Holiday and White going up against Joseph and KCP
-
yeah, that’s not happening at all..

2025 Play-In Tournament: Magic Vs Hawks 04/15/25 7.30PM

absolutely truth being told here!! -
I’m just trying to anticipate who we would target at each pick. trying to filter realistic options. Yeah i think Jakucionis declared. But Clayton is about the only option i see who can play right away. All the others mentioned would probably get that Howard treatment. With the Denver pick i could see Wolf and Broomi having an impact right away, because they can immediately play that M. Wagner role.
