    What if...

Plus, the biggest incentive with this is Lewis' contract. It would never happen, but I'd be excited if it did. hmm, the worst contract in the league and probably the worst PG in the league who has a horrible deal by himself for an allstar SF who already past his prime but is still very good when healthy? you're definitely not in the minority here. this is a slam dunk for the magic but the rockets GM would probably need police protection if he agrees to that deal

    Magic Fan Poll

How long have you been a fan of the Magic? since 2000, so 7-12 years What brought you to the Magic? i don't know. i always liked the city of orlando (hate big markets like LA or miami) and the team. i remember back then in 2000, grant hill signed for orlando. he's not the reason but i voted for "Specific player" Out of the most polarizing Magic players, which is your personal favorite? tough one, voted for jj If the player you selected above were to leave this summer via trade or free agency, you would: BYE BYE!!! i'm a little bit sad that i'm the only serbian who stayed on this boards after darko left. How many Magic games to you attend per season? none, i'm 5396.8 miles away from orlando

  5. of we can win it all next year. this team would be "the team to beat" if otis somehow keeps howard and trades for chris paul, kevin martin, tay prince, chris bosh and some solid backups like sheed and barbosa. but no, pieces like maggette, pietrus or kurt thomas and a rookie picked in the 20s won't make us a contender.

Dummb@$$ fans like these really grind my gears! to be honest, if i was the nuggets GM the only player i'd trade smith for is dwight. let's be honest, we have only 2 players with some trade value - dwight and hedo. and if i had to choose between jr and hedo, i'd take jr. as a nuggets GM of course.
  8. we should offer them hedo and battie for wade and #2. you know, riley always had a great C on his team (wilt, zo, shaq,...) and right now they are pretty weak on that position. battie would be the perfect fit for them. and hedo is the MIP and he almost was an allstar, every team just dreams about hedo in their jersey. on the other side, the 2nd pick hasn't proved anything yet so it doesn't have much value and wade hasn't proved anything yet without shaq. he needs a big man like dwight to be effective. i think it's a fair trade for both sides. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!

In the draft we get a SG to back up Turkoglu like Brandon Rush or if turk doesnt work out in preseason at SG we move him to sf and lewis PF. Then we sign Jason williams and trade for Haslem. That trade would include signing and trading arroyo, just trading JJ Redick, and our 2nd round pick. If Miami picks rose that means there going to keep haslem and i think we should trade for Smith from Atlanta. Magic would have a dominating lineup and that will fill the spots and make our bench very defensive. We could even sign pietrus with our MLE and that is a 50/50 chance. sorry mate but that's just horrible lewis GUARDED (i won't say that he played out of position because he DIDN'T) the whole season power forwards and now you try to fix that problem with moving hedo to a different position. no, he'd get killed at SG. second, i think the haslem trade won't work. you can sign and trade a player but you can't package him with another player. and btw, the heat won't do it. riley would demand dwight howard for haslem. don't part with pat riley if you are magic gm oh, and you said that we should trade for josh smith (the #2 option!?) as if it was for jerome james lol. he's going nowhere and if he really gets signed and traded there's is no way he ends up in orlando or at least there's no way he ends up in orlando playing with dwight howard.
  13. quote: Originally posted by Nyce_1:If we trade Turk, we have to get a play-making player to replace that skillset he provided. Gordon doesn't do that for me. I would only trade Turk if Mayo was still available. As far as the NY garbage, I hate Curry, Zach is a BLACK HOLE like never seen, but I'd take Crawford in a heartbeat. To comment on your trade proposal, I don't think we get fair value in return. If they add Lee, we throw in Franny. OR, we just keep JJ and try trading him for a later 1st round pick. yes, i agree... if we trade turko for randolph we wouldn't have any playmakers on our team. jameer isn't a playmaker and he'll never be one. everybody who understands the game of basketball can see that (well, otis can't see it). i still would rather trade him for hinrich but ok. i hate zach randolph and i think he really sucks but i'd definitly take him over eddy curry, a soft, fat big man with heart problems and no insurance who like randolph doesn't play any defense at all. and they won't trade crawford with #6 for sure. they can dump that one year without giving up picks or talent. but randolph-lewis-nelson would be scary... for the magic. none of them can't play any defense. we'd probably be the worst defensive team in the league. with the 6th pick i'd definitly take russel westbrook over gordon. westbrook can play PG while gordon is just a much better version of jameer nelson. i also could see westbrook becoming something similar to chauncey billups. and as D-BoFats said, there's no way the knicks trade lee for hedo just to get rid of randolph let alone the 6th pick. i wouldn't do it either. but maybe they could sweeten the deal with balkman or maybe even chandler.

    Orlando-Portland Trade proposal

guys, you have to ask yourself first if and why the other team would do it. can they use the players they get back, will they miss the players they lose, do they get rid of a bad contract, can they get a better deal,... portland easily declines. KP is no idiot, he knows that rakovi? won't ever come to the NBA, their this year's 2nd rounder will be higher than the magic' future 2nd rounder and that kopponen has much more value than that.

That's assuming that the city of Orlando actually receives an expansion team. If we do, we can choose from "Heat", "Tropics", "Juice", and "Magic". Personally, I would go with Heat, or even Tropics. But if we get stuck with the other two... if portland drafts that jordan guy their GM has to be fired... bowie's going to be a beast while jordan is a nice offensive player but nothing special, he can't carry a team for sure... dude, he can't even shoot, a SG who can't shoot? no thx

quote: Originally posted by Drunk on Mystery:A borderline allstar, an expiring, JJ, and 2 firsts for a fading allstar turned roleplayer with an expiring contract whose value is at its lowest after no showing in the conference finals and then embarrassing himself in the press afterwards? Wow. You could negotiate trades for Orlando, and I mean that in the meanest, most loathing way possible. That is the single dumbest trade idea I've read on this board in months. At worst, I'd add a future 1st(09) on our end to my original trade idea, but the fact remains that Detroit wants to get rid of Sheed, and not many teams will be willing to touch him after his outburst in the press. They won't get much, Turk is better than Sheed at this point, AND they need someone who can play as a legit center, which as horrible as he is, Battie can do. ok, this was a little bit to much but i'm sure the pistons would ask for something like that. if i was the magic GM i'd try to NEGOTIATE the best deal with the other team and if i think that my team would have a better shoot at the championship i'd do it and if not, i'd hang up the phone like dumars did it with kupchuck after asking him what he wanted for kobe. and the pistons have zero interest in battie. he'd never start or get some minutes in detroit. they already have ratliff who is better than battie and he's barely playing. yes, theo might be old and injury prone but battie is 32, has bad knees and just missed the whole season
  24. quote: Originally posted by Kberto:The Spurs have won 4 titles in the past 10 years. I think they deserve a break for losing from time to time. We got dominated by a team without their best player. I think it's only fair to throw some blame around don't you? We had a great year, but there's nothing wrong with a little criticism every once and awhile. i agree with you you have to cheer for your team if they won 4 titles in the last 10yrs and if they are the team of the decade. they are getting old and maybe this was their last run for the title. the fans probably wanted to say "Thank's" to the team just for the case. i mean, they are playing in the west, NO, portland and utah will be hot for the title next year and the lakers are far from being done. the spurs will have a hard season next year if they don't get younger. well, i don't blame the players for their effort on the court. we all know what shard, hedo, meer or evans can do and dwight can't do it by himself. they have done a great job beating the raptors in a best-of-7 series but let's face it - this is it. i don't think there was a single person who REALLY though we can beat the pistons with or without chauncey. yes, there were some homeristic predictions but i don't think any of these peoples really though that we can beat them. lewis, hedo and evans are in their prime and jameer is entering his prime or already entered it. we do have the most dominant big man in the league and he's only only 22. but the problem is that he'll be pretty much alone when his time (to win a ring) comes and there will be no capspace to add some talent and nobody will touch shard's, nelson's and even hedo's (if he resigns for +10mill) contracts. I BLAME THE MANAGEMENT AND OUR GM FOR HIS "CREATIVE FINANCING" AND HIS "WELL BALANCED ROSTER"!!!

It clears Battie off our cap, and clears room for Rashard to move back to the 3. Gives us a high quality 4, and future picks. And KLR(and other Pistons fans), before you tell me it's lopsided, you need to remember that Wallace is an expiring next year, so you're going to lose on any trade with him as a focal point. You do however get the best player in the trade. EDIT: I should note that this trade hinges on Detroit also trading Prince(most likely to a team in the west for prospects and picks). well, if you check it out you'll notice that hedo expires next year too (he can opt out and unless his game drops he will) so the theory with the expiring deal and losing for nothing doesn't count. sheed's value will be very high on trade deadline, they can get much more than just hedo and a useless contract for him. and btw, i wouldn't say that hedo is the best player in this deal. asking them for TWO FIRST round picks is just redicules. we'd have to ADD 2 first and switch battie for an expiring deal like bogans and maybe jj redick.
