I didn’t say anything about rooting for another team, and don’t have any intention of doing so. But I doubt I could watch another season of Vuch/Biyombo. Would rather just forget about basketball.

what if the suns deliberately traded for payton knowing he would help them lose 27 of their last 29 games?

what i do know is that without those injuries we would not be in prime position for a pretty much guaranteed top 3-5 pick . Maybe even 1st. ( who knows ) So yeah ...it is a massive blessing in disguise this season. Now it is on management to make it count

At this point it’s all speculation. We got off to a great start despite some significant injuries, then went into a tailspin with some different injuries, then had a 6-8 stretch over the span of a month with Ross, Vuch, Gordon, and Isaac out for most of it. I think we’re using the injuries as too much of an excuse.

I've only really judged us from the last 2 years the summer Frank came and we traded Dipo. This new front office are going to be very good for us. I have complete faith in them.. AG is going to be Elite once he figures it all out in a year or 2 tops. I think we have something special in Isaac also.

We nail our picks this year and we will be better just off that.. A fully healthy roster with a more improved Isaac and AG we be even better I also feel a new fresh coach would help. The front offices own man to implement their vision. We do have talent in my opinion. Wait and see

Khem Birch with another nice night's work. I really like his energy and effort on the defensive end.

We have a historical commonalilty. I like you have been a Magic faithful since day 1. I still remember writing out the $200 check one night in 1986 for season tickets for the 1989 season and my new bride of three years saying (not an NBA fan at that point) "Are you out of your mind, can we get that money back?" I had been an NBA fan since the early 1960's when my dad, who knew a local sportswriter, would get free tickets (only way we could go) to Cincinnati Royals games. The days of terratorial draft picks (yes they existed), Wilt (virtually unstoppable), Russell (the only one who could contain Wilt)and the Celtics, The Big O, 2000-3000 fans per game max. We would sneak up and get better seats as the game progressed, ushers did not care back then and let kids be kids! I watched the NBA and the finals along with the other 500 league fans (lol!) in the 1970's until it's resurgence with Magic and Larry. Anyway when it was time to select the seats before the 1989 season fans were invited down to the arena. So a Magic rep. takes my wife and I to our assigned seats and one of them had all the camerea hardware setup bolted in. They were good seats center court 35 rows up. But now impossible due to the camera. So she profusely apologized and had us wait. She returned and motioned for us to follow her where she proceeds to walk down the stairs towards the court and asks us if our new seats (at the free throw line 8 rows from the floor) would be satisfactory. I was so tempted to say "is this the best you can do" but I had already died and gone to heaven once that day (with the seats) so why press "fate"! That row of seats included the seats of the now deceased sports attorney Robert Fraley and Payne Stewart's seats (he was a huge fan) (May they rest in peace) so as I watched games my wife would converse with Ian Baker Finch, Corey Pavin, Orel Hersheiser, even Dr. J once (they had to pick me up off the floor that evening) and other pro athletes about things other than basketball. My wife and I also had an appearance on the ESPN 30 for 30 show about the Magic. The scene is the night the Magic had their 2nd #1 pick in back to back years (1993) and selected Chris Webber. That night the Magic opened up the arena for season ticket holders and fans and it was packed. Rumors had swirled that day about a potential trade with most fans favoring drafting and keeping Webber. Well we were at the arena and when the trade was announced we stood and yelled our disapproval. We were quite animated, enough that the local news showed our antics that night (only people shown) on the 11 pm news. We hoped nobody saw it and it would shrink into anonymity. Anway a couple of years ago when ESPN did the 30 for 30 show our nephew (who was not even born at the time) sends us a text with the video (25 years later) attached and says, "Hey Uncle Mark and Aunt Lee Anne is this you on this video". Holy sh.... it returned!!!!! You can watch it at the 31 minute mark (I think) when Pat Williams announces the trade. My wife looked at the video again and said, "Hey who is that idiot next to me". I calmly replied, "Honey, that idiot is me, your husband" Then she alarmingly said, "Tell me what I am doing with my fingers" I said, to her relief, you are booing with your thumbs down! Who knew! We are now known as the "professional protestors" in our family. "Call us" if you need a cause protested! So I mention this for two reasons. I can never "move on" from the Magic. Too much history and memories. I have to trust this management knows what they are doing. I hope we are aggressive on draft night, But if Vuch remains I think he will be dealt at the trade deadline. That is the first reason. Second reason is to thank any dad on this site who has taken his kid to a Magic game. You may have given them the gift of the NBA that will last a lifetime. I know my dad (rest in peace also) did. And I treasure that gift every season!

As you know I completely agree with this. I just really hope that we don’t see Vuch/Biyombo next season getting most of the minutes, with Birch buried on the bench. That might be too much for me to remain a Magic fan.

In was thinking pretty much the same thing. I was thinking if we waste an early pick taking Porter and Vuc is still our starting center that enough is enough. Although I've been a Magic faithful since day 1 it will be time to move on.

I gave new management a reluctant pass on trading away our picks last year for garbage, grabbing Isaac instead of DSJ, subjecting us to yet another season of the EP & Vuc defensive holes on both ends, and the blunder with Mario. If they burn our early pick on Porter and we start Vuc again next season I WILL be watching another team. I am soooo done watching Vuc at center unless he comes off the bench or it is for another team.

They both need to lose this game (unless Memphis wins one), Phoenix to protect the worst record and Dallas to avoid tying us for 3rd worst (unless we win a meaningless game). I wouldn't be surprised by a football score LOL

The magic should probably look at Duval in the second round. He's bad at everything but he's athletic and long and was a top 4-7 high school player.
