HeHateMe 697 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Rodney Hood on here. His offensive game is really nice, defense leaves a little to be desired but he's been compared to a more efficient Rudy Gay.

He has a beautiful stoke, he would fit really well in a scoring role coming off of the bench, which is really as much value as you can get at #12.
Jareth Cutestory 678 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 #4: Parker, Wiggins, Exum, Smart or bust. #12: Gordon, Anderson, Young, or bust.
Catman 380 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 #4: Parker, Wiggins, Exum, Smart or bust. #12: Gordon, Anderson, Young, or bust. Kyle Anderson is slow. I don't get why people like him so much - oh wait, its because he can dribble and played point. I'd much rather have Gordon (who will not be there at 12, no way), Hood or Young. And, I love you. I want Napier (if we don't go PG at #4) or TJ Warren if we decide to trade down instead of picking at #12. Love u 2 babe.
Catman 380 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 What if Wiggins falls to us? It could happen if the Bucks get thirsty for Exum. I really want Parker. His workout video was like porn, but thats not going to happen. If Wiggins falls, now we have Vic back at PG unless we put Wiggins at SF, which may not suit him long term. Victor was used at PG for this scenario, so it should be fine. If Gordon somehow falls to 12 you HAVE to take him. That's just perfect. But if not, Im thinking the Magic go with a shooting wing. In fact, I am almost convinced that pick #12 will definitely be a SF and not a PG unless by some miracle we get Parker (which won't happen).

I feel like if Wiggins could be like a Noel in the sense that every team is talking him up, hoping that another team takes him but having their eyes on Embiid, Parker, or Exum in the end. If Wiggins drops to us at #4, do we draft him or do you think we have people pay a ton for him via a trade?
30Assists 342 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 So will Wiggins, Parker, or Exum even be available at #4? I thought those guys were largely slated to go 1-2-3 (although who's which is debatable).

If Wiggins drops to us at #4, do we draft him or do you think we have people pay a ton for him via a trade? I think you have to take him at 4. His ceiling is so high that he can overcome his issues which are favoring one side, weak handle and shooting. Plus, his defense is already excellent, so paired with Dipo it would be shutdown. The other biggest critique is lack of a killer instinct, but you could say that about Parker as well or even Embiid. None of these guys were very consistent throughout their college year. Plus, it is very hard to not have any form of killer instinct and drop 41 in a college game. So will Wiggins, Parker, or Exum even be available at #4? I thought those guys were largely slated to go 1-2-3 (although who's which is debatable). 1 will be available as long as Embiid's back checks out. I think Embiid is the best prospect in the draft, and it is tough to see him falling 3 spots if he clears medical evaluations. Also, he has the same injury as Drummond did, and Drummond is fine now. If Embiid somehow falls to the Magic after clearing medical, Rob will high five everyone within a 50 foot vicinity and take him. He can always trade him, trade Vuc or laugh in everyone's silly little faces and start both of them since Embiid displayed he can shoot from range.

bhnole 153 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 I love the Media experts who rip Wiggins for not being a complete player at 19 years of age. Would happily take him and pair him with Dipo in the backcourt. Wiggins would do well here having a player like Dipo on the team who can take the leadership role for him. Wiggins has a lot of Penny in him personality wise....physically talented but somewhat introverted (which is why they created Lil Penny in his commercials to do the speaking for him). We are going to get a VERY good player at #4 and solid role player at #12. This is a very good draft to have two lottery picks unlike last year where only a handful of players a likely to be productive players.

I've seen his name linked to us a lot lately, but don't know much about him to like/dislike the possibility. Is he strictly a sf or more sg/sf? Good height with avg wing span. His shooting would compliment Exum/Oladipo but we already have Harkless/Harris at that position. Not seeing how he fits in until we move a player.
