murray maybe, not trae ... there is something to be said for chemistry, and from all reports, Trae is not a guy to build chemistry with

Yeah I’ve read that. Maybe a change of scenery. A change of coaching. Sometimes stuff like that can propel talent to a higher level.

Point is, we need talent and dependability at the PG spot. Something that’s been lacking for some time and continues to do so.

I'm not sure you did anything yourself to convince me.

And I've been pro trade for weeks if not months.

It was a joke, but if you remember last season we discussed a lot about the FO... inactivity... and had different point of views.

Actually it was fair, at that point it was less evident or necessary maybe, while now, for the way we have developed, for the expirings and assets we have and the often injured guys, everything seem to scream: TRADE. We'll also have to use the cap for resigning our rookies soon,  so everything seem to point to make moves.

You've indirectly made a good point earlier mentioning A. Parker, will be interesting to see if his presence changes something, even if we actually don't know if he has the power yet to make important decisions.

Rozier to the Heat for Lowry and a 2027 1st.

Heat's always the faster and fearless FO in the league.

This, along with Fultz’s maintenance, is bad on so many levels. Young guys, and young teams, need consistency. Very tired of the situation with these two specifically.

It’s just a *****in joke, and a slap in the face to fans who pay their hard earned money for this team. We’re sitting our two highest paid players who ARE NOT INJURED. what’s the pint of this crap. We need to find out if they can withstand the rigours of an NBA season, by continually sitting them out we can’t gauge that and if anything it makes them more prone to injury. At it wits end . We’re not serious about winning. Haven’t been since Welt took over if we’re being honest.

we have been about collecting assets and drafting excellent players..

Weltman has done excellent...

The winning starts from this season and unequivocally from next for sure..

I guess you’re ok with a mediocre product. You don’t win in today’s NBA without being able to shoot the 3 ball with consistency much less be considered a contender to win a championship. Yes we have some promising pieces and Paolo/Franz are great building blocks. However if you think this team as constructed is competing for an NBA Championship you are going to be sadly disappointed waiting for that to happen. The time for evaluating players on this team is over. We need guys who are going to be available to play because waiting and hoping for someone to stay healthy is not a winning formula. Look at the last few years as an example.

– The Orlando Magic know all about being a shorthanded squad and what it takes to win when you’re undermanned.

Several of Orlando’s biggest wins of the season have come when it’s been plagued with injuries, including a thrilling road victory over the defending-champion Denver Nuggets.

With that in mind, the Magic (23-21) will be ready for a hungry, but shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies squad (17-27) when the two teams go head-to-head at FedExForum on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.

The Grizzlies are 7-5 in the month of January, despite rolling out 11 different starting lineups in those 12 games. Regardless of who’s been in and out of its rotation, Memphis has made its presence felt on the defensive end of the floor.

The grit and grind Grizzlies have the league’s fifth best defensive rating (111.3) this month, and are generating the third-most steals (8.3) and seventh-most blocks (5.8) per game over that span.

Offensively, Memphis is doing its damage from beyond the arc. The Grizzlies have knocked down the second-most total 3-pointers in January, drilling 185 of them.

“They play extremely hard, they turn teams over, and they get out and score off of that,” said Magic point guard Markelle Fultz. “Also, they’re shooting the ball extremely well from three right now. So, they’re getting up a lot of threes. For us, it’s about sticking to our principles.”
