That’s nuts. Two first’s and KP for Smart. Typical NBA loaded deal for the chosen ones.

Maybe it is because of the contact but it is insane how the Wiz once again got nothing

the one thing that i hope these deals do is that these trades have cooled down the market.. Assets prices were insane in last years trades. Gobert and Mitchell were heavy asset trades. I feel like the GMs have cooled down! this is good, also for us..

In contrast to european soccer. Couple of years ago Barca/PSG and Dortmund ruined the market with their sales of Neymar and Dembele. Those price set new standards and managers haven’t cooled down after all those years.. 100 mil plus transfers have become the new standard, which is quite terrible

KP's contract isn't great and the Wiz clearly wanted to just move him to again strip their roster. My real question is how adding this KP contract affects their ability to sign Jalen Brown as they've now lost Smart.

Smart is also a great add to the Grizzlies. Hard-nosed veteran leadership is what that locker room needs, and Marcus Smart won't be afraid to get in the face of their young core to push them to be better in many facets - I'm looking in particular at Ja. Great add by them.

Wiz now have Tyus Jones, Monte Morris, Chris Paul and Delon Wright presumably all on the trade block.

That could kind of dilute the market for point guards if the rumours are true (not sure they are) that we want to trade Cole or Suggs.

From a historical standpoint, you’re not wrong in the board collectively overvaluing current players, however Paolo and Franz are different assets than we’ve had in a long long time. Bill Simmons NBA trade value column has Franz at 30 in the “too young, too cheap, too good.. please stop calling us” group and Paolo at 18 in the “Budding Franchise Guys” group. Bill Simmons is an anti Magic, Celtics super fan. These guys are incredible prospects at the national level, we just are too close to it regionally at the moment. Probably scorned too bad by the never ending rebuilding, but we’re so close to finally getting back to contention.

Sorry but a Simmons trade value column is not really going to change my opinion! :P

I agree that we're finally exiting the neverending rebuilding, but for contention we need a lot more, in a lot of aspects.

Those rankings are so fun. Love that Franz is above guys like Young and Murray. I’m a massive Franz fan, especially looking at advanced stats, so unless we’re getting a young superstar back, there’s no way I’d ever trade him.

Memphis have apparently some interest in Franz Wagner according to Jake Fischer. The same way I have some interest in a Lamborghini for my next car I presume.

But are they going to be pulling out the big guns to try to acquire him?

hahahaha outrageous

I’d do Bane and JJJ for Franz and WCJ.

Anything less than Bane and JJJ, I tell them to kick rocks.
