Kyle O'Quinn Appreciation Thread

Recommended Posts

Kyle seemed to always be at the center of the team's personality. Bright, vocal, and encouraging, he was the ultimate teammate even when he wasn't getting minutes. It seemed he led the campaigns of rookie pranks, was a hard worker, and always had a smile on his face.

I understand why we couldn't afford to keep him, but I do believe we'll miss his laid-back locker room presence and the true friendship he had with so many of our core players. Because of the great dude he is, I hope that he does become a player that flourishes in NYC and becomes a guy we say, "Man - why did we let him get away?"

Good luck, KOQ. You will be missed!

Couldn't have said it better myself, truth is you keep drafting and drafting, adding and adding, sooner or later your roster just runs out of room and its time to make some decisions. Happy for Kyle, and he is SO a future Magic Killer.

Exactly. We badly need an upgrade at his spot.

To me letting Quinn walk and not bringing in any other big clearly shows the Magic plan on using Harris at the 4 a lot, as well as Gordon.

It also could suggest we haven't given up on Nicholson.

I think that will be a disaster defensively.

If anyone can get the most of him defensively, it's Skiles. :headbang:

Having Gordon and Harris play together is the way i think we could combat that.

Gordon play PF on D when on the floor with Tobias

I don't think so. Defense is a lot about scheme too. I fully expect Skiles to be able to put both Harris and Vuch in better situations defensively as well as improve their overall defensive skills enough to make them at the very least formidable together.

Maybe. Jury is still out there as Gordon has played both 3 and 4 and can defend PFs.

He has also muscled up a bit. Curious what he is weighing in at now.

Tobioas has to improve his defense though. Has to happen.
