Affalo and Harkless are great building blocks, we got 3 firsts we shed Jrich. WHY is everyone mad? we all knew we were blowing this team up. dwight *****ed us, what more is there to say? Antihero 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2012 All 3 teams upgrade while the Magic get protected firsts from 3 teams that are going to the playoffs two mid level prospects an aging 3 point specialist and a solid 2 gurad. And this is the best we could get for a top player in the league the best big man right now in a league of his own and who is in his prime. I can no longer support Hennigan he played right into Sterns vision of the NBA the best players in the big markets, Now the Magic have to wait 5+ years to be relevant again . People likely either A - Wanted a Houston deal that likely wasn't as strong as reported B - Expected a big haul in return We are wiping the slate clean. Capo d'Orlando 85 Report post Posted August 10, 2012 Not sure what I think about this trade, but I trust that those working in the front office know more about things than I do. If Duhon is gone, I can't be too upset, hate the guy. I will say that I'm super excited to turn the page, even if it is a chapter on rebuilding. Some of my fondest Magic memories are when we've sucked and were the underdog or had young guys and watching them develop (like Dwight once upon a time). Assuming this trade does go through, a big THANK YOU to Dwight for all the good memories and hard work he put in over 8 seasons. Yeah, it didn't end how anyone but LA fans would have liked, but I'm not going to let that erase everything else he did for my team, especially when the only knowledge I have about the ordeal comes from second hand sources who make careers of slanting the truth to sell stories. I'm gonna keep rooting for Dwight (except when he plays Orlando) and hope that he continues to dominate (again, unless it's against Orlando). Afflalo and Harrington are an upgrade over Jason and Duhon, but they get paid for for a longer period of time. Where's the slate cleaning there? You can't get teams that are highly unlikely to be bad anytime soon to sign off on unrprotected picks? You've limited the quality of the picks that weren't really going to be that good to begin with. Every year teams literally give away their late round picks so that they don't have to pay a guy. Whoopty doo. Harkless and the Euro bum are mildly intriguing prospects at best.
