The Tumbleweed Hangout: Post-Dwight Era discussion
Antihero replied to AddiFB's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Highly likely this happens 2012 Hornets trade chris paul and new ownership 1st pick 2011 Cavs lose Bron to South Beach 1st pick 2010 Arenas screws over the Wiz with gun charges 1st pick This trade was so bad that I believe Stern promised Magic the 1st pick if they sent D12 to the Lakers -

D12 spent his whole career being the man in Orlando. He might play nice early but their is a reason Shaq and Bynum left Kobe on bad terms. D12 isn't gonna lay back and let Kobe berate him like he does to Gasol -

It will be interesting watching two alpha dog personalities between Kobe and d12 vying for power. Every team needs a leader and I don' t think D12 is going to roll on his back for Kobe. I don't see them meshing like Bron and Wade Durant and RW KG and Pierce I see them more like amare and melo. -
The official 2013 draft...who do you like?
Antihero replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
If we can't get a top 2 pick I hope the magic take McAdoo. McaDoo is going to dominate college basketball this year high energy player that brings it on borh sides of the court. -

Thanks for the memories Dwight you put Orlando on the map and made them the laughing stock of the NBA. -

CP3 wanted out of the Hornets situation why would he want to come to a similar situation in Orlando? He wants to play with established stars -

I'm sure the 76ers believe Bynum is more important to their long term success than Turner or Iggy. Similar to the Lakers willing to part with Gasol and Bynum to get a superior player in D12. I'm thinking if it was around the trade deadline and the 76ers were the 7th-10th seed they will be pressured into making a blockbuster deal -

You do realize their were two other teams involved in this trade that have good young players. A better deal for the Magic would be sending Affalo and having Turner coming to the Magic -

Is that an excuse to make a bad trade? And who knows what offers were on the table. If recent star players players like Paul, Melo, KG, and DW who all wanted to go to certain teams can net promising building blocks to the future and future 1st rounders. Why can't a vastly superior player do the same yet gets worse value. -

you don't need to listen to espn to come to a conclusion that this is a bad trade. Shame on the people who don't think Hennigan is preaching the gospel whenever he makes a move. -

The caliber of prospect when they were traded for stars like Melo, DW, and KG not the players as of now. A prospect like Evan Turner is what I'm suggesting -

Is Harden and Ibaka centerpieces for the Thunder? no they are very good young players that compliment stars in Durant and Westbrook. I don't understand why some posters are insuled by the idea of getting a good-elite young prospect to pair with future top picks and rather have mid-level prospects -

The thing is we got no foundation player out of this trade all these players can easily be moved within three years. It would've been nice to get an Eric Gordon, Al Jefferson, Derrick Favors, Gallinari type prospect in return
