Offseason Thread Part VII: The Fall of The Lockout

Recommended Posts

So this is either a really good thing (we get CP3), or a really bad thing (Dwight has a lot more opportunities to go to LA).

i think this is bad news personally. but good for the league for not letting cp3 jst go there.

but then why would they allow dwight there unless dwight opted to go there??

its all gonna get very messy for sure

You know... This actually hurt's our chances to hold onto Dwight. With this not falling through the Lakers are gonna redouble the efforts bring in Dwight. Also, the chances of us bringing in CP3 are pretty much out the door. The league have set a precedent, until the Hornets are bought by an owner, they can't trade CP3. Which means unless he bites the money bullet and leaves in FA, he isn't going anywhere any time soon.

it's not kobe, it's the market.

That's true but how would that look if they didn't let that deal happen but ok a trade to another team? Doubt that will happen.. Cp3 will most likely have to play out the year and sign somewhere in free agency

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski

New Orleans GM Dell Demps is "disconsolate" over this stunning, heavy-handed move from the commissioner's office, source tells Y! Sports.

How naive is Dell Demps, how did he think it would look having his league-owned team trade its best player to the Lakers in exchange for a ton of salary.
