It would have been different if we wanted to keep Ryan. Rob had no intention of paying him that kind of money since we were going to be rebuilding. He probably told Ryan to go find a team he is interesting in going to and we will agree to get an asset out from them. New Orleans wasn't going to give up a ton when they knew they could sign him to a decent size deal and they knew we wouldn't match the deal. I'm not a fan of Ayon, but Ryan could have just signed the Hornets offer sheet and we wouldn't have matched, and lost Ryan for nothing.

Magic out- Afflalo, Nelson In- Rondo, Fab Melo Celtics out- Rondo, Melo In- Monta Ellis, Darren Collison Bucks out- Ellis, Dalembert In- Afflalo, Kaman Mavs Out- Collison, Kaman In- Jameer, Dalembert Orlando gets an Allstar PG with a reasonable contract to continue to build around and a young big to develop. Magic also can resign Redick and he would get a ton of open looks in a backcourt with Rondo. Celtics get a go to scorer in ellis and a serviceable PG in Collison. Bucks get a solid/cheaper replacement for ellis(who will most likely walk after this season) and add size the backcourt to pair with Jennings, also a solid big on an expiring deal. Mavs get a good pg in Jameer(Mavs have been desperate for PG help) & a solid big to replace Kaman.

If this deal happens I'm done with this team. I've stuck with this team through the good & bad but if give away a top 5 player for Brook Lopez , a few scrubs and a few LATE first round picks then I'm done. On top of all that we will still be stuck with du-du & Turk ?! Yeah good luck selling tickets next season

Yeah they do. I thought I saw an article the other day where brook said he liked playing for the nets and he wanted to stay there and be part of the team now that they will be good.
