There may be a decline in attendance at home games but the deficit is made up in increased alcohol sales. Gotta take the edge off the losses, na'wmsayn?
  4. Well I'm hoping Beast can get us that insane circus shot from Meer, bouncing the ball from near the top of the arc and into the basket, because it was the most impressive Magic play of the game. Too bad it didn't count. :svgsad:
  5. He and Nicholson need to just bump fists and combine their powers or something. Harkless D + Profs O = amazing.
  6. If JV pulls Meer and JJ I will throw my tv

Rode roller coasters all day and ate junk food at Busch Gardens - felt fine. Came into this thread - instantly vomited.

Best thing the Lakers have going for them right now is Earl Clark.

r Agree. He may have missed the clutch 3 against NOLA but he stepped up and took the shot when the ball was given to him and he needed to --- and it wasn't a bad shot either. Had he hit that, this thread would likely be twice as long by now.
  11. Parking - usually about $10 for a parking garage on South St. and then a short stroll from there to the Amway Center. I'd actually recommend one of these if you plan on eating at a place on Church St. prior to tip-off. If convenience is what you are about, the Geico Garage will run you $20 but it is attached to the Amway Center via a walkway so once you are parked there's really no walk necessary. There are also some outdoor lots available, usually for $5-$10 scattered around the Amway Center. Eats - Plenty of places on Church St. and downtown. If you've got the $$$, spoil yourself with tix in the Legends Suites. Pricey (anywhere from $80 - $400 depending on the visiting team), but you get all you can eat *good* food (carving station, salads, marinated herb chicken, hot dogs, assorted pastas, desserts, and all you can drink beer and/or wine) included in the price. If you just want a cheap but damn tasty meal, you can't beat 5 Guys Burgers and Fries on Church St. Perfect pre-game food. Hope that helps. How are you guys enjoying Anderson and what do you think about the rumored name change for NOLA?

    Game Thread: Jazz @ Magic

No worries guys - apparently this team is the best in the league at avoiding being fouled.
  13. Really starting to cringe every time I hear that we are dead last in the league in going to the line. When these games start coming down to a couple points like this one, the swallowed whistles start to piss me off. :panicworker:

5 months after the trades... how do you feel about the team

It's not until this season that the Amway Center has felt like home to me. I feel like a team has finally taken up residence and it's a breath of fresh air.

I resented Glen Davis so much when he was a Celtic - for all of the reasons I love him now. :)

I'm watching in what must be a 125p def stream and it's not looking any prettier. How about you just enjoy actually seeing the ball. :shard:

    Finally, up close

Very cool, man. I know the feeling - though I sat courtside...like...on the court behind the rotating advertisement walls back at the O'rena in the late-ish 90's. I remember how massive everyone was - even Darryl Armstrong - and then hearing a steady stream of expletives all game long from the court. The dude sitting to my left - my friend. To his left, Paul Porter The dude sitting to my right - Joey Fatone Now, true - you might think sitting next to a guy from N'Sync might not be so cool. But I was around 13 at the time and what I remember most about him was how damn cool he was. When the steady stream of teen girls came up to him during timeouts (some during the game too, which he said he hated), screaming and gushing for an autograph, he told them that I was famous and with the band too. They would all promptly turn to me and beg for my autograph. He just sat and laughed at it all. I thought I was King Sh-t. It was certainly a night to remember. I vaguely recall him jokingly ordering me a beer from the hostess as well. Of course, now I just want floor seats to carefully watch every facet the game from that perspective whilst drinking heavily.

I'll take tommorow night's ATL game since I'll be there and in Legends :bigparty:/>/> Nevermind. Way too busy.
  19. Too true. According to the SAC commentators - the crowd was cheering in appreciation of Davis's performance tonight, not because he fouled out. Haha. These guys looking for a job in Orlando or something?
  20. Dunno if anyone else is watching the King's stream of this game but the Kings commentators are praising Big Baby like crazy and have had better things to say about Orlando than they've said about Sac. For instance, one guy just said Davis is the kind of guy that makes you proud to have in the league, talking about how the Amway Center is so amazing and how the Magic and Davis has so much heart and passion etc. Very...weird.
