It was a cross and I for one appreciate what he did for all of us there. Thanks for your consideration. drew

I have to agree with you. We need everyone healthy come March and April. At least we face Indiana tonight. No... I am not underestimating them, but we have a tendency to really step up against the great teams. We don't need more injuries now. I wonder if Crittenton is starting to look more attractive as a combo guard to Otis? What could we give up to get him? Certainly not JJ at this point. OMG, did I just say JJ was valuable? lol
  4. Magic shooting guard Mickael Pietrus is out three to five weeks with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. The injury occurred in the victory against Philadelphia this past Wednesday during the holiday road trip. J.J. Redick is expected to start in his place tonight at home against Indiana. Check back for updates. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/basketball/magic/...2908,0,4527536.story BUMMER!

  6. What do you expect? Every year this nut shows his distasteful love for us.
  7. This has absolutely nothing to do with basketball, so post it where it belongs. The last thing this forum needs is a war between gays and hetero's on the political front!
  8. quote: Originally posted by BRich:We don't seem to really have a need for him. Especially, since he's not particularly good at any one aspect of basketball. He's athletic, looks like Patrick, and has already been a part of 3 NBA teams. You may be right. But then again, the entire league could be kicking themselves if he turns out to be even a solid role player. I still hold that he is definitely better than Franny. AT LEAST HE'S WILLING TO SHOW UP.
  9. That's hillarious! Just goes to show that hindsight is always 20/20. Good find.
  10. NEW YORK -- Talk about pressure. Patrick Ewing Jr. is following in the footsteps of his famous father again. The New York Knicks acquired the younger Ewing from the Houston Rockets on Friday in exchange for the draft rights to center Frederic Weis, one of the most widely panned picks in franchise history. "Coming to the Knicks, and hopefully being able to contribute, means a lot to me," Ewing Jr. said in a statement. "It has always been my dream to play for this team. My goal is to show the coaches that I can play and do all that I can to help the team win some games." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3559816 "New York drafted Weis with the 15th overall pick in 1999, passing on Artest, Andrei Kirilenko and James Posey, among others. The 7-foot-2 center never joined the Knicks and is most known for being on the wrong end of an incredible Vince Carter dunk in the 2000 Olympics. Weis, from France, won a silver medal in Sydney and is currently playing for a Spanish club." This sucks. It would have been worth trading Franny if they'd bite. I can't see why the Magic wouldn't have taken a chance on the kid. Especially when Dad is here already. What do you folks think?

  13. quote: Originally posted by MilitaryMagic:Their net operating income of $5m does not include taxes, depreciation, or amoritization. Considering how business finance works, they are probably taking big-time losses on the depreciation of their facilities and the "backlogging" of various expenses where the losses are spread out over the course of many years to help, well, balance their balance sheets. By the books, it is entirely likely they are losing money. No offense meant, but you missunderstood the statement. They have a reported profit margin of 5-mil. Profit is only taken into consideration after all overhead and taxes are paid. Otherwise it isn't considered profit. That would be part of the gross, not the net.
