What happened? Danged if I know. As I said all along, I was e-mailing back and forth with a guy who was using an alias. He had been right in the past, seemed like he had solid sources. I trusted what he said and relayed it with the exuberance only a fan can have. When everything fell apart, it was obviously devastating - so much so that, shortly thereafter, I stopped e-mailing him. Obviously I stopped posting here (as well as RealGM) and basically went into hiding. To be honest, I haven't even been following the team as closely as I have in the past. When the Gilbert / Hedo deal went down, I tried to log on here to discuss it, and that's when I discovered my username couldn't be accessed. Long story short, I thought we were getting Chris Paul, and we ended up with the ghost of Gilbert Arenas, Jason Richardson, and Hedo freaking Turkoglu again. But hey, there's always Earl Clark. Alright, thanks man!

Appreciate it. I figure now's the best time, what with everyone distracted (that way I don't have to take too many lumps). What is it with the East Coast and super teams? Celtics, Heat, Knicks, Yankees, Red Sox, Patriots (when they first got Moss). Funny thing is, none of those have turned into the dynasty that was projected when they were formed.

Actually, I haven't been able to log in - it didn't even recognize my username as valid. Kind of figured I was run off by the mods. Before anyone bothers asking, I stopped corresponding with anyone related to the Magic after the CP3 embarrassment.

Incidentally, I asked if there was a chance we could keep Okafor and use him as our PF. The response was that he'd be a pretty bad fit at the 4 next to Dwight - but he's better than Gortat.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. All I was told is that "nothing changed" with the meeting, whatever that means.

Hmmm, interesting. Am I missing something? Is there no QuickReply? As for the latest, nothing you haven't heard already. Otis still working hard on it, doesn't WANT to take on Okafor, but will if it comes down to it. Nothing changed in the CP3 / NOLA meeting, apart from media control.

Like I said over at RealGM, I think the Arenas-Paul idea might just be a case of logically combining the 2 most prevalent rumors into 1.

Practice. So that I'm not spamming, allow me to say this: All of the major free agents (plus CP3) this summer are with Nike/Jordan. Dwight is with adidas. Any clue how much longer his contract with them is?

I really think, IF Paul gets traded, we have to be the frontrunners. We offer a very good package, a great landing place for Chris, and can take on Okafor/Posey. Plus, we're in the East, which should account for something.

People seem to forget that this was being floated around WELL before any media picked it up. By the time they started reporting it, we'd already beaten this horse into the ground. But yeah, Magical is full of it. (Also want to give props to SmackDaddy, who was another person talking about this at the trade deadline).

I miss DoM's angry rants where he quotes someone and tears them to pieces in red. We need to trade for Hedo so that can happen again.

Once again, remember the "list" Dwight gave Otis? It was Boozer, Bosh, and Paul, and he told Otis he could/should move anyone on the roster to get one of those guys. Dwight is one pushing hardest for this to happen.
