How bout we get The Truth a press pass to live blog from the games Sunday or Monday???

For the love of the game...The Truth is not discounting the current youngsters on the team, Vuc, Harris, Dipo, Harkless to a lesser extent have talent. But let's be real here, none of those players are game altering players. All are great contributors but none are going to change the game, that is where you need to hit on the draft picks or attract free agents. Mediocre teams do not attract marquee players. Someone mentioned the Sonics/Thunder...they decided to bottom out but they still had to nail the picks. What happened was that they ended up drafting 3 of the top 20 players in the league...and then they blew it up by thinking they were too smart and letting Harden go...but that's a post unto itself. The Truth has faith in Henny and the staff, anyone can plainly see the team turnaround in only a year, and the future is bright...but the 2014 draft is as loaded as a draft has been in a long time and Andrew Wiggins IS one of those game changers. You put him on this team and Orlando has its centerpiece. Now if they only had a pg for the future...damn Bledsoe trade. Sorry for the rant, The Truth could talk about this for days.

The sad reality of todays NBA is that you either need to be good, or you need to suck to rebuild thru the lottery. Being the 7-8 seed or ending up picking 10-12 does nothing for Orlando. They have a scrappy team, however you aren't attracting any marquee free agents with scrappyness. Missing out on top picks does nothing either, it relegates you to being stuck in the middle. Houston just did this before they landed Harden. And while some of you are right, there is no assurance that any of these picks will pan out however you have better luck with top picks that you do having to hit on mid rounders. So while yes, The Truth is hoping the Magic finish with the worst record again, its for the betterment of the team in the long haul.

Smart should have come out this year. Andrew Wiggins or bust. Wiggins will be the best player this year...any of the Kentucky kids especially Randle. Parker will be interesting to watch. Has the talent but maybe not the killer instinct. The Truth is the conductor of the Wiggins train but he's a lock for 1...so if Orlando doesn't win the lottery Smart will probably be the pick. Which is also okay...but Wiggins is a game changer.

Wow...The Truth is amazed to see some of the names posting still. Good to see. Sorry to hear about some members that have passed. The Truth will try to keep an eye on the boards as The Truth is legitimately excited about the future of the Magic. Total rebuild going well basically a year in. Henny hopefully knows what he's doing. Going the character route in the SA, OKC model. Just need to hit on the picks. Next years draft is gonna be huge. Read something last night talking about how as of now Orlando has their pick and the better of Denver or NY's...hopefully one of them can fall apart and Orlando can have 2 lottery picks. Hopefully some Magic :D can happen. The Truth has been on the Wiggins train for over 2 years now. The only problem The Truth sees is that Henny has done such a good job that if they get Bledsoe, Dipo blossoms, with Harris and Vuc...Orlando will have a scrappy team and finish near the bottom of the lottery. But who knows... Also, for those who are interested, DS bagged The Truth's groceries at Publix the other day and we reminisced about the epic BBQ shindig.

The Truth has briefly glanced at what this board has become. Some good, some bad. Mostly good in the belief that Henn is on the right path. With that, The Truth will leave for now, gone but certainly not forgotten if there are some of the OG still around. The Truth hopes the board is alive and well this time next year welcoming Andrew Wiggins to Orlando.

There's only 2 options. NJ...Lopez, and the picks. Or the Chicago rumor...Deng, Noah, Asik, Pick Both for Dwight and Hedo...The Truth says pull the trigger just to get Hedo off the books. As far as which is better. Originally the Truth liked the Jersey deal...for the shot at Sullinger and Rivers. But Deng, Noah, and Asik gets you 3 starters. Also a rumor that NJ/BK is trying to snag Nene to use him to get Dwight also. How that would work not sure, Lopez, Nene, 2 picks?

TheNameisOrlando...No The Truth does not live in Vegas. In Orlando, near the APK...The Truth is just stating the obvious. Putting an NBA team in Vegas is a cash cow. What young professional athlete would not want to live there. That's the only place you could envision an actual "home town discount" The city itself does the recruiting. Only DStern would never do this because think of the risk factor. To the newb that thought The Truth's post was a waste of time. Not really, The Truth felt better after writing it. A sort of therapy if you will. The Truth finds it obviously more original than your brand new Dwight Howard Nets handle. Congrats on being the first of about 318 of those on the board. Colombiano...noted. The Truth does not come around these parts much anymore as the board had developed a general idiocy that was hard to handle. Figured that most of that had been said...but still needed to be said. Arielle...thank you. The Truth would love to have Monta here. Thought there was a way to get it done last year but don't think it can happen. Iggy and Josh Smith The Truth is kind of indifferent towards. All of this is where Dwight should be saying, go get this person, and so on. Not *****footing around. The problem The Truth has with Iggy and Smith is that they, like Dwight, are not the Alpha player on the team. Monta would be...and that would be great.

Chris Paul to the Lakers...um what? Yes that's right, the team the league controls just traded one to the top point guards in the league to the West Coast Flagship team. Parity in the NBA...it's FANtastic. If the NBA truly wants to make money, contract about 2/3's of the league and have your 8 super teams. Oh and by the way, give The Truth a franchise in Las Vegas and watch the money come in. Now, on to the other issue. The Orlando Magic...The Truth asks, wtf? Sit on your ass a little bit more. The Truth doesn't even know where to begin with this one. It can't all be Otis' fault, most of the organization must have their heads in their asses. Press the issue at hand. As sad a state it may be, if axing SVG keeps Dwight here, just do it. However The Truth would also like to tell Dwight, just be a man bro. If you want to stay, tell management...and then get YOUR ass on the phone and convince some people to come here. Orlando is kind of a fair-weather city yes, but the arena is brand spanking new, there's no state tax, and if you can build a team and take down the "Evil Heat" you will be universally loved around the country. But instead Orlando is left with the will he or won't he. Interpreting interviews in magazines as well as your general demeanor has led most everyone to believe you're gone. If you want to go, tell management. If you want to go that's fine, you don't owe this city anything. Most knowledgable fans realize that sports have gone from the "purity of the game" to "big business"...so it is what it is. People will be bitter, The Truth will be bitter. But it's part of the game. Now, with him apparently out the door the big prize to be had is Andrew Bynum? Really? Andrew Bynum. The Truth is going to tell you about Andrew Bynum...he sucks. His potential is entering what, it's 5th year? Add the fact that The Truth, like probably 98% of this message board have better knees than he does. Does Orlando really want Superstar DNP-Version 2.0? If Dwight wants to go, tell the proper people, and then trade him to Chicago, they'll apparently listen to anyone that's not named Rose...Joakim, Deng, Omar Asik, and a pick...or go with the NJ deal, Lopez and 2 #1's...Jared Sullinger, Austin Rivers...and look with either of those deals you can build TEAMS. The Truth's other issue with this team at the moment. Overpriced players who can also be called terrible. Jameer, Dwight, JJ, Anderson...you 4 are safe. The rest of the team albeit serviceable, not very good. Turk and Gilbert...BIG TIME terrible. Now how does this happen? Most of the league sucks at valuing players and scouting. The Truth will give a lesson to everyone, study the structure of the San Antonio Spurs. This is where the greatest builder in the league started. Sam Presti...what has he done? Look it up. He is also the argument against why you can't win in a small market. Hear that Orlando? The Truth is finished with The Truth's rant for now. Thank you.

The Truth...following the rules and posting within the game thread...the OMagic boards...Where Miracles Happen. Anyway, The Truth has spent the night laughing at the television. After becoming massively frustrated as The Truth is sure most of you all were threw the first 4 games, it's amazing to see what happens when the shots fall. Now can it be held up for another 2 games...The Truth hopes so. Something The Truth noticed through The Truth's cursing of this team...The Magic have played as well as 3 bums and 2 addicts you could find down off Paramore...AND they've been in each game...even the last game...shooting 8% from 3...if they shoot 10% they win the game. Frustrating. Well, back to this game...The Truth does still feel that this team can make the finals...just so long as the shots fall.

Things, The Truth has noticed since glancing at the boards... Gilbert will be on fire as the Magics starting PG next year...Really? after one game? What about everything up until last game? Orlando has the pieces to rebuild, Orlando can get, CP3/B. Roy/Josh Smith/Insert big name here...Really? Portland will not deal B Roy. If Orlando were to convince CP3 to come here what does it do? It upgrades the PG position yes, but then you are still left with the same problems everywhere else. Again, that is assuming that CP3 would even WANT to come here. The Truth does not mean to sound so pessimistic, but looking at the way this team has played, the season is over. Does The Truth hope they turn it around and go reverse sweep...yes, but damn, that's a ways to go. The most important thing now is talking to D12...get him to sign, or worst case scenario find out what his plans are to potentially deal him.

Silva does cut that much. GSP normally walks around at 190 or so...so thats a 20lb cut. Silva and a couple others can do those crazy cuts which destroy most people.

lol agreed Perciville. When the trade went down The Truth thought "Awesome, get rid of Shard and his overpriced 11ppg and get a still overpriced but can score Gilbert coming off the bench to drop 18-22." Maybe this is just his plan...to let everyone think he sucks and then turn it on come playoff time.
