what's with the payton hatred on this board... payton is good man, good dribbler, good penetrator, plays defense, can pass too... scott skiles system ruined payton... skiles system on offense was dumb and dull... just constantly having ppl running to the top of the key to either shoot or drive... kinda like how the global trotters run their offense.... payton was being used the wrong way... payton is a creator and needs to be played like the old gary payton/jason kidd..... glad skiles quit man, waste of time on that dude, clueless as a head coach, so predictable on offense, jac vaugn was a better offensive coach than scott was, yes, that's how sad he was

we all should love skiles, if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have gotten vogel, and if it wasn't for otis we wouldn't have gotten henny... we should make statues for skiles and otis

i wanted dipo gone at the end of the season, he has peaked... he can't drive like wade and can't shoot like clay... everything was just a bit over avg about him... he has good character and work ethic, but it was clearly time to move on from him, evan was the better player clearly, can shoot better and drive better

small ball works because teams bigs are slow and can't guard little guys these days, Rob is a genius... before the summer started I was hoping the magic to get Biyombo, and holy sht we did... we got the chief!!!! no one was expecting the ibaka trade, on top of that you got Green, one of the most versatile forwards out there.... why do we stock pile ibaka, biyomo, gordon and green... yes... to guard curry lebron durrant paul george butler carmello type of players... in the playoffs its all about the matchups... if you can counter them and be strong at defending switches, chances are you are going to be very good and competitive... vogel said they were going to build a monsterous defensive team... i will be surprised if we are not top 3 defense this year for real....

payton is more creative going to the hoop, there is a reason why most bench players don't play good defense

Hezonja is legit 6'8 who can shoot... i have no doubt he will shoot 40% in a season... he is explosive, can run as well, doesn't back down from anyone, lots of potential... he can pass the ball very well... the only problem with him is his defense and dribbling.... but he isn't hopeless on defense, he has all the tools and the demeanor, if redick can improve, i have no doubt he can be a decent defender. for his 1st year I'd give him a pass because guys are bigger and faster, he needs to get used to that... dribbling can be improved ---> see Oladipo, he was a crappy dribbler and slowly gotten better with his handle... dude can really be klay 2.0

boston: smart, brown, bradley, isiah sixers: noel, simons, okafor, luwawu, embiid wolves: wiggins, towns, dunn, levine suns: bender, chriss, bledsoe, booker jazz: exum, gobert, hood orl: gordon, payton, vuc, mario denver: mudiay, murray, barton, farried just throwing some names out therer with teams with young talents... to me.... jazz looks like they have the least talent to offer I will rule out the sixers because russell won't resign there so don't bother... wolves is a huge possibility if westbrook wants to go there, i doubt it bro suns very intriguing personally i wouldn't give 3 of our guys for westbrook, two is fine, preferably vuc and payton, but 3 is just too much boston can give nets' 1st round 17' 18' picks + anyone from smart, brown bradley isiah to OKC... they are a big market team, indeed westbrook could end up here
