Hey Soul, shut up. You're another one of those who doesn't realize that only the refs lost the Boston game for us.

New York media is crying! Claiming they got robbed! I love it!!(Schmitz blog)

quote: SO I will not stop calling them names, I hate them knick fans an I am glad we got the benefit of the whistle for once....... Yeah I agree Rich, screw the Knicks. And their fans are relentless. If you've ever been to a magic home game versus them you know what I mean. When we lose those games there unbearable to be at. And Nate Robinson is a jackass. Two magic games, two times I've seen him start a fight with our players (Meer, Carlito). -
quote: 39, 35, 37, and 29 shots. I can think of a dozen players who can do the same thing if they take that many shots. That's simply not true. If it were players would be getting strings of fifty all the time. He still had to shoot 50% to get near fifty, and they weren't lay-ups. Anyone that denies that Kobe's the most talented player in the game has lost it.

Brian Hill is nothing but an arrogant troll
Tough Break There replied to FanSince1990's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Jesus, I mean even after a win you're still your *****y self. Carlos practiced hard all week so he played against a team he plays well against. Makes sense to me. And I don't know if you noticed but Jameer did all right last night. Every time you post it's weak and terrible analysis on top of whining. -
What was VC saying to Dwight?? (Your guesses)

I mean, I realize this isnt a magic post but.....has anyone else notice we might be witnessing the greatest NBA basketball that we will see in our lives out of No.24?

POST GAME REACTION THREAD***Nets vs MAGIC
Tough Break There replied to jack daniel 999's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
This is by far the most critical Magic game of the year.... -
I've brought you up from the depths WP. I drive by that new UCF arena everyday, it looks a little like a mini Conseco Fieldhouse. I gurantee that arena is nicer than the current Amway when it opens.

Shaq talks Smack about new Arena.
Tough Break There replied to ThisIsTheYear's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Have you guys lost your minds? You would take Devos over Shaq? The past is the past, do you have any idea the kind of talent and respect this team would have is Shaq and, say, Grant Hill were co-owning in a new arena. Don't you realize that the reason The Kings shot 30 more free throws than us a few nights back was because we were playing in something called that Amway Arena that leaks in rainstorms and has an owner that is like a shawdowy mystic figure who doesn't seem to care if we in or lose. Shaq's an admiral of the NBA at this point. -
Poll: Should this team change name? (please vote)
Tough Break There replied to FanSince1990's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Fan do you ever have anything good to say? -
Your definatly right JD, i've been thinking the same thing. The proof is in the length of a game board for a win (I think it was like 5 pages yesterday), and for a loss (it can get into the high teens with people complaining. Bandwagon and it's easier to complain than celebrate=probably factors.

When will Hill really give Darko the starting position?
Tough Break There replied to Robert56's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Darko should have been starting from game one...It would be interesting to see how well he'd be playing right now if Hill had done that. -
Changes Coming For Magic, Likely At The Point
Tough Break There replied to FENDI's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
To me, whatever teams are in the top eight at the end of the season deserve to be in the playoffs. But anyway, even before tonights game, I think it's to soon to be throwing the blow-up-the-roster-remarks around. The magic have had no consistency in thier roster for the past 5-6 seasons, and consistency leads to success in the NBA. Look at our roster from, say, 2004 and see how many familiar faces there are. This is still a young team, and young teams simply do not win in the NBA. And we can not give up on Darko. People still seem to forget that he's never played a full season. 21's should be inconsistent. Trading Darko will end up haunting the Magic. And for a PG, especially from those **** Pistons, not good. This team needs scorers not distributers. Hopefully Otis won't go Schimitzane this summer and deconstruct what could be a good team. -
Bianchi vs. firebrianhill.org
Tough Break There replied to Ned Ryerson's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Yeah, that's true Athena. An outside view could present a clearer angle. And Weez you're right, he did mischaracterize you s bit (I don't count on living in Orlando forever, but wherever else I move to I will still be a "local" sort of Magic fan). Maybe it's the whole idea of Fire Websites that doesn't sit that well with me, even if I don't like Hill's coaching decisions. -

quote: You all think it was any mistake that this great article writer chose the 'wise' 80-something year old octogenarian to contrast to the 'know-nothing' 20 year old young guy?? He knew it would automatically trigger that narrative of how they all just knew how to act right, in all aspects of life back in the day as compared to now. No ****, Charlius. It's called making an argument. It's an opinion column, not a news story. He can say whatever he wants. I'm sure you're much wiser with your media class than a guy that's been writing articles in major metropolitan newspaper for years. -

Tough Break There replied to Ned Ryerson's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
quote: You to may belong to that 10% - I am glad the guy stands up for what he believes - I have to believe that I may be the most vocal and obnoxious or among the most vocal and obnoxious. I love these players that we have - the coach is killing us. I want to speak out - if there is a pink elephant in the living room -you know what - you say that there is a pink elephant you don't pretend it doesn't exist. We have good players and after we get Vince we will have better players - BHill probably can't exist with Vince long, but if they make us go through another season with BHill - I am done as a season ticket holder. I may have to watch on TV if they get really good since I gave them up. I would love nothing more than Brian Hill to prove me wrong, but it is not likely to happen as he is just a bad coach - Tough Break - Brian Hill is the problem - I guess you just can't see it. If Phoenix was 8th in the playoff race because they had Brian Hill they would be going crazy, because they have a lot of talent and should have the record they do. Our team plays way below their ability. This team should have won 50 games - and I am not blaming the players. I sort of agree with you Knappy. And like I said, I don't like Brian Hill, and I do think he is holding this team back. But for me, there's just something that doesn't sit well when someone watching in California starts whining and making websites about a team that he just doesn't have local knowledge off. You just can't convince me, even in the age of the web, that people 3000 miles away from a home team city can get the proper feel of a team compared to a local. Not that their in any way less of a fan, just that they don't have the depth necessary to start a website like this. And I'm sick of people getting on Bianchi's journalistic credentials. He's a sports writer, not a journalist. And he graduated from Florida (a good "journalism" school), so I'm sure he's good enough to cover the local Orlando sports column a few times a week. -
Bianchi vs. firebrianhill.org
Tough Break There replied to Ned Ryerson's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
First of all, complaining about journalistic integrity out of a small market sports writer is a bit of a reach. It's not like he's reporting daily from the Libby trial. Second of all, he's right. Attacking a second year coach who's improved the teams record is the same kind of quick fix bull**** that a lot of whiny fans engage in nowadays. Patience is key with a young group of players, and it's clear that constant change that the Magic have faced over the past few years accounts for a lot of troubles we've had. I'm not the biggest fan of Brian Hill either (his rotations suck, he doesn't rest players in blowouts, Ariza pratically got killed when we had a 20-point lead vs. the Bucks, and he's simply not great at changing course mid-game), but still, people like Weez would probably be complaining even if we summoned Red's ghost to coach the Magic down the stretch run. And don't act like you weren't as pleased as hell to see Bianchi mention your name (in fact, he probably just furthered your cause by writing that articale). Frankly, it is kind of annoying to hear whining from 3000 miles away. And you can't tell me that you're the better fan than the fan he talked about in the article. -
Behind the Spurs game this was the best game the Magic have played all year. For those who can't see that, welcome to the NBA, you don't win a title in the first hopeful year. Relax. If we learn to play like that consistently this team/franchise will be just fine. **** the 7th-8th seed, are you *******s interested in becoming the Indiana Pacers or the Pistons.

quote: I am tired of them talking about the future, because we have been talking about the future for about 6 years now, when is this future suppose to happen? We haven't been talking about the future for 6 years. This is an entirely different team that has only been together since last season. We made the playoffs with T-mac, and everyone ran him out of town. Hence, a re-building process has been in place for about 2-3 seasons now. Really, that's not long to wait for a solid playof run. Ask the Warriors or the Trailblazers about the playoffs and when their run is coming. Magic fans have consistently been impatient and Magic owners have been consistently cheap, that's why we have never won a title.

If the Magic win tomorrow I will ...

Anyone remember the game at the Mavs last year? We lost by two (I think) very close game. That said, Magic 84 Mavs 111. -
With John Gabirel we at least made the playoffs.....

Fern I can't tell if that's sarcastic or not, but either way it's stupid.
