I guess the question for tank crowd, with that in mind, is why you would continue to support actively making the team bad for lottery position? It’s an odd sort of job security for Weltman. But why does the everyday fan continue to sign up for it?

I just don’t get how the FO keeps successfully selling this as the way to build a team. And the real shame is they’ll do it again next year.

I think offensively we’re getting drawn into the league trend of just shooting garbage 3’s at volume, and it doesn’t work with our playing style. We need to get back to a more inside/outside game; pick and roll based. We can’t afford to shoot dozens of tough 3’s a game to satisfy analytics. Takes the sting out of what we try to defensively. -

We’re definitely not losing because of Bamba. Shooting is just off, that will come. Actually I’ve been pretty impressed how close these 2 road games were considering the shooting. I would trade Bamba now because some still see a very high ceiling. I do not. Fultz and Isaac are the core potential, I do everything I can to put them on a better team (more shooting, more playmaking). I think around the all-star break there is a move to be made. -

Lewis, I’m just not seeing (and haven’t really ever seen) what Bamba turns into. He doesn’t have the quickness and that doesn’t get better as he gets older. I’m sure you have the advanced stats, but just watching, I don’t think we rebound better with him. He doesn’t do more then get generic balls and the occasional put back. I rarely see him win 50 50 balls. That’s really the opposite of what you’d expect from a young big. -

That would be my move if I were in the FO. AG doesn’t come cheap obviously. -

Case of stats masking what’s pretty obvious watching the game. Bamba hurts us inside with his slow-footed rebounding. I don’t watch him and see a difference he causes with shot selection in the paint. And on offense it’s 4 on 5. Think Cliff moves back to Khem here soon, it’s not a season where we can afford to let Bamba to just get work in on the court. -

I think the issue is/will be, Isaac can do everything AG does but better. He’s a better defender on the perimeter and interior, his 3 will be better in time, he’s longer/stronger on the boards. There’s a pretty clear future where Isaac can create a consistent shot going to the rim well above what AG can do. So where does AG fit in with a lineup that features Isaac? I don’t think it’s a coincidence tonight that Isaac had one of his best career games and AG was non-existent. -

I’d agree here. It’s the NBA, teams are gonna score on you no matter how well you play. We haven’t cracked 100 yet. I sort of like the general look of the team though, odd as it sounds at 1-2. Just needs to start clicking. AG is really troubling though. He’s out of position whether we want to admit it or not. -

I would trade Bamba before teams get to watch anymore of him. Doesn’t have quickness for the NBA game. We’ll pull it together otherwise. Just not shooting well at the moment. -

Team is just disgusting. Was nice to see them get booed at least. Poor Vogel. And poor us. -

While I'm at it, I think you could argue this is the worst position the Magic have been in from a team perspective in the nearly 3 decades of the franchise. Absolutely hopeless. Decade plus of not only not making the playoffs, but not even being close. Who cares who draft in 2019. This is the danger of a small market team tanking. -

I dunno how you guys can get anything out of a tank run. This team is disgusting. We really have zero future at the moment. -
Just dont see how it makes any difference. Team has gone through plenty of coaches/styles. It's not the coach. Sad truth of it is this what happens when a tanking rebuild fails, especially in a small market. Years to go before some hope of the playoffs.
