Recommended Posts

Halarious how we beat Tor IN TORONTO, but yet, they're ranked higher than us. Thoes SI writers are terrible.

In fact, I'm watching the game again and we took to them!

Remember what we said last week about being more impressed by this start than last season's 13-4 start? Who would argue now when SVG's guys are 6-0 on the road and 1-0 against the new darlings from Boston?

I hate these rankings and definitely don't feel like we're top 4 in the LEAGUE. I wish they'd just leave us close to the Knicks, lol.

I am glad we are getting some respect now, the schedule gets brutal over the next 60 days. If we play .500 ball through mid Jan, we should be able to win 50+ games easy with all of our western conference roads trips finished.

I do believe this is the fist time we have been #1 on any power rankings. I don't think they existed in 95. It has been a long, hard ride, gentleman. We took our punches like men, but things appear to have come full circle. We are a powerhouse again.

ESPN (Stein)- #1!!!

Has the Team of November clinched its division yet? It only feels that way with no one else in the Southeast over .500 as of Monday and the Magic only losing to Detroit, San Antonio and both Phoenix games.

SI- #5

Dwight Howard has to be included in any early MVP conversation. As of Dec. 1, the 6-foot-11 fourth-year forward had thrown down an NBA-high 81 dunks on the season, more than 25 teams. He had a few more Sunday as the Magic won at the Lakers to run their road record to an NBA-best 10-2.

NBA.com- #4

quote:
Off: 109.6 (11), Def: 102.2 (3) -- The most amazing thing about Dwight Howard's MVP-ish numbers and paint dominance is that he turns just 22 on Saturday. Scary.

ESPN (Hollinger)- #3

Bleacher Report- #3

quote:
The Magic started well under Brian Hill last year, but Stan Van Gundy's savvy and Dwight Howard's improved play give this team a new legitimacy.

The Magic are now a surprising 10-2 on the road after defeating the Lakers Sunday.

Note: While Howard and Rashard Lewis have received all the credit, Hedo Turkoglu and J.J. Redick have been key to the Magic's success.

Yes, THAT J.J. Redick
