All Eyes On Me 1,210 Report post Posted November 24, 2019 Man, the bench has really killed us this year. Our starters have been in the positives in almost every single game

Even when he has been lighting it up for the last 7 games and we won 4 out of 7 in large part because of him. Two of those losses have been with the injuries. Your opinion can't be taken seriously when you criticize the guy who gave us a chance to win (it wasn't all Isaac and Fournier was better than Fultz tonight). How is the primary scorer that the offense was ran through by the coaching staff selfish because he finally missed late? Ross was the player at fault on the inbound pass. We left shooters wide open all night and we missed several gimmes that we had to make so it doesn't come down to one play.If anything, the early over-reliance on MCW and poor playing questionable lineups kept Birch and Iwundu from getting into a rhythm when we knew that we would need them eventually. 2

All Eyes On Me 1,210 Report post Posted November 24, 2019 Evan has been a completely different ball player this year. Not nearly as much hero ball and forcing things. I’m actually enjoying his game and happy that he seems to have turned a corner. Maybe it’s just a contract year thing, who knows, but he’s made an effort to be more of a team player

harryfromphilly 75 Report post Posted November 24, 2019 funny thing about the weak bench the hype going into the season was how deep we are if thats true, dig deeper and get that bench going when mcw, ag and mooch are back birch and iwundu need regular bench minutes

Just needs to cut out the silly turnovers and running into crowded areas.

I swear every time the two of them are on the floor together they run to the same spot and it results in a turnover. Really amplifies it too because the only time Evan and Ross are on the floor together is when we really need a bucket
harley 61 Report post Posted November 24, 2019 Being preaching this for a long time, but Ross is such a cancer on teams. Most were fooled by his hot shooting last year in some games, he still had games where he just continually jacks up hail marys. Some of this goes on the coach too, how does he put him back in the game!!1 he's so bad. We really need to get him away from our team. ASAP. I'm liking Fournier this year but we still need to move on from these two (think were stuck with Vooch unfortunately). Build towards the future even if we take a step back. Hand Isaac and Fultz the keys. 2

Maybe it’s just a contract year thing, who knows, but he’s made an effort to be more of a team player It's a contract year, but it's a player option so how he plays only matters if he wants to stay in Orlando. He is not the type of person Ross is. Ross is the one who doesn't work on his game and cares more about getting his points. Fournier has improved since he got paid. Ross has regretted to the point where nothing but his shots matter. Before the "Human Torch" fun went to his head, Ross moved the ball, he went to the basket when closed out, and he played above average defense. He would have won an award last year if the rest of his game didn't fall off a cliff. Until our front office starts finding better back court players and real shooters, then we can decide if we can upgrade over Evan. The way it stands right now, we are extremely fortunate to have Fournier. He is getting paid just right for what he produces. Until we have a guaranteed upgrade, we need him. If he plays the way he has this season, he is an All-Star level guy. He won't get voted because his game is not flashy. As fans, we can't forget how big these injuries hurt us in every aspect. It's going to take us time to learn to play without those guys. They are starters at positions that our backups have struggled at all season. Birch looks lost, Aminu and Iwundu are not in any rhythm , and despite Bamba having one of his best games, he was woefully inadequate. Augustin is just getting to the point where he can't physically carry the bench in every game, especially when Ross is not in the 20's some nights. Fultz has been amazing for sure, but we can't forget that he is still learning PG, the hardest position to learn. We just have to try to stay close and steel some games so we can make a run when we have everyone back. This stretch will give us a good idea of the type of moves we need to make before the trade deadline.
