ML6 520 Report post Posted February 6, 2019 Wait, that was a total joke trade (obviously) but it made me think about whether or not it makes sense for Washington to move Beal... On one hand he's on a pretty good contract and they probably won't get full value for him, so why trade him? They can't get many better players with Wall taking up so much of the cap. On the other hand, they can't really add anyone significant to help Beal make the team better for the same reason. So if they don't trade him, are they just gonna flounder like this all of next year? You shouldn’t really put much stock into what management says publicly, most of the time it’s just mouth work and means nothing. Which also plays a part in negotiation in not showing your hand.
