Madison Square Garden is such an ugly arena.

This game has some serious implications for both sides. If Orlando wins, then its going to be marked as a statement game. If Orlando loses, then its going to go back to questioning the Magic's earlier trade as a headline. If New York wins, it will marked as a possible move to right the "Knick-tanic". If New York loses, then its going to be questioning Carmelo as "another" headline.

 

With a team that has been this discombobulated for this long leading to 4-6 record for the last 10 games. You would have to feel that their misfortunes wont last forever. Im expecting New York to come out hard, with a live/die playing mentality and really pushing. Orlando has the better team with the best Center in the league. As long as the Magic play their game, I dont see a win for the Knicks.

 

However if the Magic come out flat and give the ball away... then its going to an ugly game with alot of shallow emotion coming from New York (as if they accomplished something).

If we win, it will be because the Knicks have been struggling and won't say anything about this Magic team. If we win BIG it will be a sign that this team is prepping for the playoffs.

 

One thing Chicago has over us right now is that they know how to finish games. They don't let up. This team has had two games recently in which it should have won by 30 get close in the 4th quarter just because they got lazy. Chicago beats their opponents every quarter and drills them into the ground with no hopes of coming back.

 

We need to blow these guys out (and every team until we face Chicago) if we want to make any kind of statement.

 

That said, I am hopeful: 103-86 Magic.
