If you think we have it bad, imagine being the Nets and another team is using your pick to possibly get one of the best players in the east. And then realizing your team is the worst in the league and you have nothing from the trade left that lost you that pick.

For as bad Otis was at times, he did get Rafer Alston for basically nothing, then traded him and Courtney Lee the next year for VC and Ryno. If only we resigned Hedo that year instead of letting him go.

As a correction, we didn't trade Billups to the Pistons, he signed there as a free agent. We did however trade Wallace for Hill, which is definitely one of our worst trades of all time. I'd probably add the trade for your former name, Lewis for Arenas, which was beyond awful. Rashard gave his all for the team the whole time he was here and we traded him for a player who almost got kicked out of the league for his antics.

People like to point out that our pick is a starter for the Thunder right now, but that's only because OKC's bigs are awful. I would almost say that the Ibaka trade was just as bad for OKC, because they could have gotten Oladipo's stats from Waiters, at a much better price, if they didn't let him go.

I disagree with a lot of musicians, actors and most sport players, but I don't allow my personal opinion of them allow me not to listen to their music nor watch their movies or sports, etc. However, I'd rather not discuss any of that here. This is a basketball forum and what I appreciate about the Devos family is that they have spent money when they had to compete. However, the last few years they have messed up the rebuild by meddling with our GM's plan. A good owner needs to know when to use their power to interact with the team and when to not do anything. The last few years, I'm not sure if I trust the Devos in that.

The Jazz are the other team I follow closely. There's very little chance Hayward leaves. He likes Utah and the team is built around him being the superstar. They will do whatever it takes to keep him there.

So many bad shots and passes so far, the offense looks awesome like usual.

I'm a 2008'er, was here the whole time during the magical 2009 season. I believed JJ could be a good player, but I recognized that he needed a long way to go at the beginning of his career. Mario looks like he's on the same path, except he has marginal more ceiling than JJ had.

It was an awful game, but it's over with it. It's obvious the team needs time to gel. Most of the Heat were on the team last year.
