Magic trade for Veteran PG Rafer Alston!

Recommended Posts

Chyeah!

We now have a starting capable PG who will also make a killer 6/7th man next year.

Can definately shoot the long ball and throw lobs.

Also unlike AJ, isn't confused with screens and will not make Chris Paul get a hard on on sight.

The deal is a three-team trade that will send Alston to Orlando, Brian Cook and Kyle Lowry to the Rockets and Orlando's future draft pick will land in Memphis.

I'll still wait for another source to confirm this.

Nice trade. Alston is going to start now.

I think the comment by Stan about ''his guys hanging their heads'' did it. The team wasn't going anywhere with AJ, Lue and Turk as the playmakers.

As Skywise already mentioned:

We have to thank Chris Paul, but also Hedo for his default yesterday.

I wish the Lue trade never happened though.

I'm still trying to figure out how this trade works since Houston is only trading Rafer Alston but are getting 4 players back in return.

I understand that they can release Wilks and Foyle once the trade is complete but don't they need to have the roster space in the first place in order for the trade to be completed?

Adonal Foyle and Mike Wilks, per the Orlando Sentinel.

Why is everybody saying the Lue trade was a mistake? If anything the trade is better now, because it will allow our backup PG position to be competetive (Johnson, Lue) and Lue is an expiring just like Bogans so it really doesn't matter.

Not to mention the emergence of JJ after the trade.

Wilks and Foyle will goto Memphis I believe, to make the trade work.
