Absorbtion of Okafors contract would be entirely up to Devos you'd think. Doubt we'd have probalems playing Okafor as a back up C with small minutes at the 4. You'd eventually geta buyer as well, especially if he puts in some OK games.

While he doesn't have a no trade clause and NO can ship him wherever, Paul can always inform the team he won't be easy to get along with and he'll walk as soon as he can. That being said, a team would be willing to take that risk for such a high reward if they can settle him. I still think this is only good news, we have enough expirings to match the rubbish contracts NO will want to get rid of.

I think the concencous is don't attack the posters individually, but question the rumour itself for sure, creates discussion ect.

Wow, way to draw a conclusion. Where did I say this? All I said is when rumours come out, it gets exciting and brings out all types of posters and gives everyone a chance to post their opinion.....as unfortunate as that may be in some cases.

Or any combination of those things. After last year, despite his good games, do you see VC being the answer to being "the guy" to take over a game? I don't. I want him to, but I can't see it. Not after losing another year of youth. Not after his disappearance in big moments. 48 points against the Hornets made us forget all his troubles for awhile. But then reality struck and we saw be the guy he thought he was. A fun player to watch, but not the missing piece. Does he surprise us all next year? Hell, anything is possible. Do I think it's going to happen? No. And then our other major problem. Gortat. "But what about when Dwight gets in foul trouble?". Then we bring in a vet for a quarter of the price to play for him and hope other guys on our team step up and do their job. It's ridiculous that some people here feel the organization has to pay $6 to $7 million a year to a guy to be an insurance policy. And don't even get me started on the atrocious idea of having him play the 4. Unless J.J. transfers his brain into Gortat, then it won't be a good idea. I stand by my position that we need to trade Gortat for a young, hungry wing player who looks to create his own shot and can score at will. Maybe we could even get a vet big to go along with him. It doesn't have to be an all-star, just a scorer. We need a scorer. We need a guy who is going to come in and start lighting it up from all over the place. And if he misses? Well he attacks and hustles until he can't do it anymore. Maybe I'm hoping for too much, or maybe I'm just totally off base. Thoughts? Ripper post. We need a scorer. A guy is good for 20 a night. Not spectacular, but just scores. A guy who can take on an offense when Dwight is in foul trouble. Rashard isn't that guy unfortunately, he's a terrific complementary piece that suits our style, but not a guy who you chuck the ball to when you need points and say, go to work we need points. Carter was the hope, but cleary isn't aggressive enough or creative enough anymore. He's bassically another Lewis, who doesn't fit quite as well. Meer can't be asked to do that. He feeds of others being good. Having defenses worried about where others are, dropping under screens opens him up for drives and dishes or open 3's. Who knows who this guy is, maybe we do make a play at Iggy? That would be ideal if we could get him, but that's another pipe dream I guess.
