    Are Turks leaving here?

quote: Turk is gone. How many tear in my beer threads do we need? We have a better team now. Turk will be fine, he and his wife will be basking in the Toronto lifestyle. Swimming in his pool of money that was way more important than the "team". The ignorance... the ignorance...

Think about it. Rashard earns almost 19M next year. Otis offers 9M to Hedo. It was a fair offer, but 1M short of what his agent wanted. I think what Howard said sums it up how I think about the situation: Hedo has been with Magic since Howard came to the league. He was a core player and was essential in the succes this year. He demanded 10M a year and if Otis wanted to keep him he would give it to him. He doubted his value and Hedo left. It wasn't about the money anymore the day Otis said he wanted to see first what ''his house was worth'' I honestly believe Hedo would have stayed for 5/50 offer. But instead Otis offered 4/36. In the end it's just business and I respect what Otis did. If Vince delivers and the team wins a championship this year or next Otis did a good job. If not rebuild around Dwight in 2011. worst than u said. He said he was thinking to accept 5/45 offer. He just wanted argue it with his family and agent for a while but Organisation chosed VC instead of Hedo before he declare his decission. I think its enuff for talking about this money stuff. This is all about Magic and its decission not Hedo. All of you are thinking VC is an upgrade so There is nothing left behind to talk about from now on. Yeah, just read that interview in the turkish media. It is really sad, I wanted him to stay with the Magic.

Alright, what happens if we do sign Turk????

If the owner stands by his word and Otis really wants to keep the core together, 4 year 36M is a fair deal. I think Hedo can get more from Portland, and since they cleared some cap space, he will end up there. But, a team with 5 all-star caliber starters sounds good too. Will it happen? Let's get real, it won't. Hedo is gone. 80M in salaries is not gonna happen. Somewhat off-topic. Carter in Orlando sounds still somewhat unreal to me. It's almost too good to be true. Therefore I have a feeling things might go wrong. In theory even without Hedo the team should be in the finals for the next 2 years. My concern is the chemistry between Vince and Jameer. Jameer is a shoot-first PG and Vince is a SG with some PG ability(arguably better than Jameer). The pro here is the fact neither one of them is a troublemaker.
  5. quote: Originally posted by TheRevTy:If Hedo Turkoglu truly has the handles everyone makes him out to have, how do you explain him being second on the team in turnovers, only .3 per game behind Dwight? Explanation: He plays the point quite often. Steve Nash: 3.35 TO per game Jason Kidd: 2.28 TO per game Chris Paul: 2.96 TO per game John Stockton: 2.82 TO career per game So do you consider all those players bad ballhandlers?
  6. quote: So would I. Caron Butler is better in every conceivable way than Hedo is. Better scorer, better passer, better ball-handler, better rebounder despite being much shorter, INFINITELY better defender. Better passer? No. Better ball-handler? No. And Caron Butler is better in every conceivable way? You sound like you've seen him play in Magic uniform. quote: Caron Butler made less than 9m this season. He'll make 9.7 next year, and 10.6 the following. So in the last 3 years of his deal, Caron Butler, a two-time all-star we've established is much better than Hedo, made an average of 9.8m a season. And you're going to argue that Hedo might deserve 10m? Seriously? I'm not arguing Butler has a nice deal for any team. But I'm arguing that Hedo might not deserve 10M a year. If I relativize what Shard is getting, Hedo deserves 12M a year (now I'm generous). If I don't relativize, somewhere between 8-10M Anyway the guy will opt out and will not get anything less then 8M. That's a fact. I would give him 4 years 40M.

Magic vs Raptors Game Thread 4/1/09

Man I hate that ''scream'' every time Hedo drives. He should watch his own games afterwards and quit screaming. It sounds ''not right''
  10. Never underestimate a superstar scorer. I fear AI, more than Sheed, RIP or Prince. Hope Shard will show up. A close one. 113-107 Magic

With a 14 point lead the team should look for Howard inside. He needs more touches.

You just see a decent PG does miracles for the flow of the game. Turk looks active tonight.

Magic trade for Veteran PG Rafer Alston!

Magic trade for Veteran PG Rafer Alston!

Nice trade. Alston is going to start now. I think the comment by Stan about ''his guys hanging their heads'' did it. The team wasn't going anywhere with AJ, Lue and Turk as the playmakers. As Skywise already mentioned: We have to thank Chris Paul, but also Hedo for his default yesterday. I wish the Lue trade never happened though.
