They take the Suns to the last second and then beat the Jazz in Utah without Dwight. I don't think I have the words to describe how impressed I am with this team. The entire team played well in the second half. I think this has to be the best defensive effort that I have seen the entire year. I am particularly impressed with the Magic's defense on Deron Williams. Gortat was very good tonight. Stan absolutely has to find a way to get this guy more minutes. "I still can't believe we won this game" is a classic example of a figure of speech. Its not meant to be taken literally. Obviously, after watching the game I know that the Magic won. My point was that on paper, without Dwight or Pietrus, in one of the toughest places to play in the league, we were significant underdogs. Now if you have managed to follow me up to this point I want you to lay down and rest before your mind short circuits and you collapse. ball junkie 277 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Just watched a replay again...I said it last night immediately after the game and I noticed Stan said it in his post-game comments...best win he has been associated with in a long time...me too... Just an outstanding effort from our guys in a game where I thought they had no chance...especially after the first half. Impressive!!! Felt like posting compliments again... This was a huge win for us, especially since Dwight was out -- we've showcased our ability to beat a legitimate contender in Utah without the force of Howard. Gortat came in, played solid, play from Lee is getting better, as well as a good showing by Brian Cook last night with some clutch 3's. BUT last night is over -- we have a ROUGH week coming up. GS on Monday to finish up the road trip, then back home for San Antonio and the Lakers. This will tell if we're TRUE contenders...getting out of the gauntlet alive.
