Golden State confirms talks with Orlando
MP_20 replied to Stan Van Jeremy's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Love the setup to imply fairness. Jerry West was hired as a consultant in GS. Lakers will get Ellis and Curry for Bynum and Fisher....or something lopsided like that ;) -
Really. Went through Orlando on the way to Port Canaveral and besides the tolls...........this took the cake.

The NBA and fining players for social commentary
MP_20 replied to Emory889's topic in Around the NBA/Globe Game
I can create that world as long as they stay at home until they were 18. It would be cool if we could make the world a place you would want to release your kids into. Unfortunately, they just gave us the joy of creating and raising kids to so it makes it tougher to prepare them for it. I have 4 so it's a daily struggle to give them doses of what the world is really like. It ain't pretty that's for sure. -
The "What else can Dwight possibly improve on??" Thread
MP_20 replied to ThisIsTheYear's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I applaud Dwight for improving significantly on offense this year. I would say passing out of the post is the top for me. It will magically solve a lot of ills and, as he gets better, you'll see how it benefits the entire team. Not to mention Dwight will get hit less and T.O.s will go down. -
What is going to be done about Arenas this offseason?
MP_20 replied to Ofman's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Grant Hill just slammed them On what to do with Arenas, I think Otis' relationship with him saved him from a sharp fall in Washington. I think he'll be better next year but that's a lot of money for "thinking". -
I know you mean well and are trying to pacify the fans here but I live in Atlanta and see a LOT of Hawks basketball. They flop a lot. And for you to say they didn't do it until this series makes me question which team you were watching. You don't master that skill overnight. Collins is well known for his abilities. We all know about Pachulia but Hinrich and even Josh are pretty darn good at it. That being said, in all fairness, Howard is no saint and the league punishes him pretty regularly. I told the guys here the whining SVG does to the media only makes for atta-boys from the fans. It does nothing but hurt the team to this stubborn commish.

Doesn't Stan come off as a whiny fan? Honestly.... We all know the MVP race is based on who's hot. Word of mouth. Commercial bits. Who the league feels comfortable advertising. What is the definition anyway? That definition changes every year. Spurs have the best record in the league and "0" MVP candidates.

Who cares what Bosh says. He's an over-hyped David West. This is typical finger pointing 101

You guys see what Dwight said after the game?
MP_20 replied to Magic_All_Day's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Didn't see it, but I'm sure it hasn't changed since the last time he "spoke up". I mean he blessed the trades to get these new guys in and we're back to square one again?? -
Has SVG failed the Magic? OR Management? OR players?
MP_20 replied to The Ryan Anderbads's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
It didn't help that Jameer was guarding the 2 while up 3. Fisher even mentioned that's why he took the shot. But that is on Jameer not SVG. I don't care too much for coaches records though. With the right talent, Mike Brown was in the Finals and COTY. -
SVG meets w/ Magic to figure out problems
MP_20 replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
SSDD I think this has a lot to do with the Lakers coming to town and needing that win to keep confidence and morale up. -
Has KG always been a punk??.......................Yes. But losing and being one gets ignored. Check out youtube and there's plenty of proof there.

Isn't one of the purposes of the zone to make it harder to get into the paint? Thus the challenge to knock down shots?

This actually makes a lot of sense. Dwight has worked on his post moves and now demands the ball more. Fair enough. To his credit, this is a different Dwight than when this team was built a couple years ago when he was just a more athletic Chandler. In response, the cast has been changed to accommodate him, but why to a more offensive-minded crew? imho, most offensive minded players sacrifice aggression and energy on the defensive end. They want to stay on the court and that means pulling back on defense. Also Dwight understands there is no Gortat to back him up.......and so does the opposition. I really think the philosophy of this team has changed without the appropriate changes in personnel. That's why you have the exact same complaints with a different crew of people. -
Something screams system-problem if you change out most of the cast and the new, smarter, better passing guys are doing the exact same thing.
