TO BELIEVE - JD

Recommended Posts

There's a tradition in regular season play to not talk about the next step until you've climbed the one in front of you. I'm sure defeating the TWolves at home is beyond your wildest dreams, so let's just keep it right there.

Forget about the crowds, the size of Mark Madsen, their fancy uniforms, and remember what got you here. Focus on the fundamentals that we've gone over time and time again.

And most important, don't get caught up thinking about winning or losing this game. If you put your effort and concentration into playing to your potential, to be the best that you can be, I don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book we're gonna be BELIEVERS!

Okay?!!

Alright!!

Let's Go!!

Let's Go!!

Let me hear it!!

BELIEVE!!

You! Even Former Magic Dancer April thinks we were buddies. Great, huh? Ha! All of you thought we were a couple of BELIEVERS. What a joke!... Dwight Howard paid me 1,000 bucks to pretend I liked him. What a deal, huh? $1,000 to throw him alley-oops for a month. This guy. Oh, God. He bought me. And he bought all of you. He was sick and tired of being compared to Shaq. Yeah, and he said that all of you BELIEVERS would worship him if he went out and won the dunk contest. And I didn't believe that. I was, like, no way! And he was right! No, leave me alone. He was right. Our little plan worked, didn't it, Dwight? The cape. That stupid cape! What a bunch of followers you guys are. I mean, at least I got... At least I got paid.

Gozer: [after Brian orders her to re-locate] Are you a Power Forward?

[brian looks at SVG, who nods]

Brian Cook: No.

Gozer: Then... DIE!

[Lightning flies from her fingers, driving the Orlando Magic to the edge of the roof and almost off; people below scream]

Tony Battie: Brian, when someone asks you if you're a Power Forward, you say "YES"!

SVG: All right! This chick is TOAST!

Here's the story,

Of a man named Otis,

Who was bringing up an NBA team of his own.

All of them needed better coaching,

Like other teams,

The youngest one named Dwight.

Here's the story,

Of a coach named Gundy,

Who was busy looking for a team of own.

He had his job stolen, by a man named Riley,

Now his BELIEF was gone.

Till the one day when the GM met this Gundy,

and they knew they was much more than a hunch.

That this group,

Must somehow form a team.

That's the way they all became the Magic Bunch,

The Magic Bunch- the Magic Bunch

That's the way- they became the Magic Bunch.

People are walking

People are running

People are waiting

On a second coming

Believe you me, I DO BELIEVE!

Believe you me, I DO BELIEVE!

People are laughing

People are starving

People divided

'Cause people crowded

I used to think that I could not go on

And injuries could hold down this team

But now I know the meaning of true basketball

I'm leaning on Dwight's arms

If I can see it, then I can do it

If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

I believe I can fly

I believe I can touch the sky

I think about it every night and day

Spread my wings and fly away

I believe I can soar

I see me running through that open door

I believe I can fly

I believe I can fly

I believe I can fly
