Duke FTW! I'm sorry but the excuse of not having Lawson is useless to me. I mean, if Duke lost, they could use the excuse of not having a big man. So you know what UNC, learn to adapt, just like Duke does.

I've basically read almost every single post on this thread. And all I'm thinking is that, this whole trade request has nothing to do with being professional or not, his college resume, or his paycheck. It's to do with JJ's passion for basketball. All he wants to do his play. I mean, he even considered the D-League a while back. And from SVG's comment about this, especially when he says that JJ is improving and working hard in practice, it seems to me that he doesn't know how to use JJ. But that's my opinion.

i dont post here as often but i'm going to give in my two cents. as a jj fan, i don't think he should start but get at least 10-15 mins a game. yes, he's not that great on defense, but there are games where he is solid. at least tries to stay with his man as much as possible, unlike others. jj has a lot to give to the team and i don't think that many people recognize that he can contribute more than just shooting. i mean, he has a high basketball iq, knows how to make plays and can pass well. and for him to be able to contribute to the scoreboard, that means svg has to make plays for him or his teammates have to give him the ball. im tired of watching jj just pass the ball when he's open or when another magic player who isn't open, fake passes to jj, whom is wide open, and takes the shot and misses. i mean, whats the point of jj standing on the 3pt line if he's not gunna get the ball? how does that spread the floor?

why does the NBA homepage say 49-32? and did JJ actually check into the game, thats what it says on the box score.

JJ is featured in the Better Basketball dvd.

i say try some games with jj starting and some with ariza starting and see which line-up works best. or at least let jj start a couple games to see how the line-up is. i mean, he started basically every game since like the 8th grade until last year.
