"When did 39% shooting become good" There less than 30 guys to ever play in the NBA and shoot higher than 40% for their career 3pt percentage. Only 8 guys are better than 42%. I would consider anyone above 37% pretty good. #49 All-time Rashad Lewis .3917 #56 All-time Jameer Nelson .3882 #100 All-time Vince Carter .3732 JJ is a non-qualifier (he needs 69 more threes)but his .3892 career isn't too shabby and being 15th (40.7%) in the league this season not too bad either.

Is Redick to Boston again? Article is from 8 hrs ago. "Orlando Magic General Manager Otis Smith said he hasn't talked to Boston's GM Danny Ainge, despite reports coming out of Boston that a deal is imminent." Why would Orlando send Boston anyone! http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/20090117/SPORTS/901170307/1001/SPORTS

If name has nothing to do with it, how did Dirk get in last year with a 29.5% average at the break. Also Shard is ranked 27th. Just asking.
-
Redick is now ranked 26th in the league in 3pt%. If he stays hot and with his name recognition could he get an invite to the 3 point contest during All-star weekend?

Entering the season JJ had a career 3% of over 39%, if he missed his first 4 give him the green light, he will make his next three. If it's too early to evaluate the Magic shooting don't you think it was early to evaluate Redick?
-
I like how every credits Redick with the first two losses when everyone shot terrible in the first game and he only played 19 minutes. The second game he plays 11 minutes and misses 1 shot but he should be blamed for that too. What point is there in camp and preseason when all the evaluation time you need is in 39 minutes of regular season.

You like to point out Pietrus and Bogans 3%, but they are fourth and fifth on the team in attempts. #1 Shard 26% #2 Hedo 35% #3 Jameer 19% For a total of 27% on 113 threes. JJ should have got an opportunity. He missed 8 shots. Jameer missed that many if the first and second game each. He should be pissed.

I thought it was mandatory if JJ was mentioned to post a quote, so here it is from the article above. The Magic's biggest area of weakness last year was the two-guard spot, and while national pundits may not be buying into Mickael Pietrus or J.J. Redick as prominent players, both were lights-out in pre-season and both are going to surprise a lot of people who haven't seen them play. The space that Dwight Howard creates really benefits players like Redick and Pietrus

Others in need of an intervention: Goerge Bush = 1 DUI, admits cocaine use Dick Cheney = 2 DUIs and if your a democrat Obama admits to doing Cocaine at 22 We all know that Bill "likes the ladies" Clinton smoked a little grass and did a few lines. If they can run the country, a 0.11 DUI in the off season during the summer after your graduation doesn't sound too bad.

Let's not make it out like JJ's arrest is a nick Nolte either. His blood alcohol was 0.11 (probably one newcastle too many), it's not like he was hammered. I don't like drinking and driving, but I have driven home after a happy hour or two when I was "legally drunk".
-
How many people between the ages of 21 and 25 have not gotten into a car "legally drunk" and drove home? I don't know anyone who has not ever done that. JJ went through a road block, he wasn't pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving. Why don't you take a little more time pampering puppies and a little less time starting unfounded accusations of alcohol abuse by a player on your favorite team.
