  1. If (or when) Watson is traded to Orlando, where does he belong on the depth chart? Would he be ahead of AJ or be the 3rd point guard behind Jameer and AJ?

    Ranking the Eastern Conference

Hoopsworld just seems like a bad site most of the time, these rankings are bad but they are nothing like the Western Conference rankings. Boston and Orlando are ahead of Cleveland and it isn't even as close as they (Hoopsworld) think.
  3. Why do a S&T when you can have both?

We ripped apart our Roster... and for what....

Duncan's knees have gone on him, he said he had problems with them last season and he expects to suffer from knee problems for the rest of his career. If your comparing starting lineups, the Lakers win it hands down with Artest added in there. But back to the topic at hand and saying Orlando ripped apart their roster, this is something I disagree on based on what I know has happend. My understanding on what has happened is this. Orlando made an offer to Hedo that was within their budget and responible for what he brings to the table, Hedo turned it down and wanted to test his value in the free agent market. Orlando didn't want to run the risk of losing out on him so they made a move to bring someone in that can do his job and maybe even be better for the team. It's basically what the Lakers did to Ariza, they made him an offer, his agent called their bluff and they made a move and brought in Artest. Orlando made an offer to Hedo, he didn't accept it and wanted to test his value, Orlando didn't want to wait for this and made a move to make sure they have someone that can handle the ball in the forth. With this move, the Magic had to give up some players to match salaries to make the trade. Therefore, I think the reason the roster is different is because of Hedo, they tried to retain him but he wasn't interested and has gone to Canada and that is the reason Orlando ripped their roster apart. Not that they wanted to but because their main playmaker was going to get paid by another team and that team overpaid for him and the Magic were right to make the VC move.
  5. The last I heard was that Ariza will now end up in Houston, don't know how much sense that makes considering they have Battier but that was the latest report I had. But Ariza's agent messed up big time with this, if he signs with the MLE elsewhere then his agent has done a very bad job considering he had that offer from the Lakers aswell. He could of made the same money, played in his hometown and be a starter on a championship team. Now he might get the same money, might not be a starter depending where he goes and might not be on a contender either, Ariza and his agent are begging Toronto has a brain fart and offers him stupid money because that is the only thing that will make Ariza's agent come out of this looking half decent.
  6. The Cavs may have someone to defend Dwight one on one abit better then what they had but their pick and roll defense is just as bad, if not worse, with Shaq. Cleveland still have noone to match up with Lewis at power forward and they don't have anyone that can shutdown VC either. Infact, I don't see anyone on their team that looks like a decent one on one defender. Magic have Pietrus, Lakers have Ariza but I don't see anyone on the Cavs that can shutdown a player. And I laugh at anyone that says Lebron is that player, maybe a good defender but he isn't any near the level of Pietrus or Ariza or Kobe when it comes to man to man defense. And I'd less I would be less afraid of Cleveland because they don't have a starting power forward at the moment because Varejao is more then likely to opt out and we all know the trouble Cleveland had last time in trying to resign him.

Since when can you grab the rim?

Since the moment Dwight put his hand right through the rim and blocked a shot, complaining about that one is pointless when there was an even more obvious one on Dwight in the 1st quarter.

    Gasol GUARANTEEING a victory

One thing I've learned over the last year or so, is NEVER trust what Marca report.

My only opinion is that both cause a matchup problem on the offensive end for each other. Lewis can't guard Pau in the low post and Pau can't guard Lewis on the permiter. I'd just about give an edge to Pau because he will be getting his shots near the basket unless Rashard somehow becauses a beast in the low post, I see Pau just having the edge in this matchup.
  10. Conditioning might not be a problem but being rusty might. Not being upto game speed might be the difference for the Magic and if he isn't, they shouldn't play him. And hte last I read, Nelson said it would be mircle if he played.

    KOBE DOESN'T SLAM INTO PLAYERS

Kobe might not put the pressure on the Magic defense but Pau will. The Magic have not yet faced anyone of his skillset in the playoffs so Pau is someone they will need to focus on when he gets the ball because of all the things he can do.

    On Five in the UK

They did it last year aswell, still would be nice to have some games on Sky because only getting one game a week for the entire season isn't enough and then half of them weren't live. Atleast Sky would show games like on Sunday evenings.

Is Rondo EVER going to be called for a foul?

Never, he should of been suspended for Game 6, he wasn't. Should of been suspended for Game 7 and wasn't. I have no idea why the league didn't take action and the only responiable responce is that the league favoured Boston in Rondo's situation because nothing else makes sense.

    Gamethread: Magic @ Hollywood 1/16/08 10:30 p.m.

This game must of shown the world how much Jameer has improved his game, it looked like he was hitting big 3 after big 3. Orlando did get a bit lucky onthat Kobe 3 that could of tied it because he was open and he is easly capable of making it. But Meer showed his skills tonight, not only with the big shots but with his clutch free throw shooting. I enjoyed watching the game.

What excuse will Analysts say now

Andrew Bynum was in foul trouble and only played 11 minutes. or Lakers had a close game against Miami the night before and alot of their energy was spent in that game. I'd guess one of those two would be the likely outcome from looking at the boxscore.
