Lee did prove one thing this season he is not a great 3 point shooter. The last time I checked that was really important to the Magic in stretching the defense so Dwight gets more openings. 33% just does not cut it. As for defense the difference between the two is not all that much. Though Redick is a better team defender imo. But this is much ado for nothing. The Nets will keep him because he is cheap. Will Lee start this upcoming season who knows. Considering that the Nets are not all that deep in good shooters he has a better chance. BTW I remember reading that players who lead in steals are not actually rated the highest on their respective teams for defense. AI had a high ratio for steals, but is a terrible defender. So if you are saying that Lee is better because he steals the ball more often then you lose that case about who is the better defender hands down. The reason that found is that the players who steal the ball more often took more chances to get the ball and ended up not defending. So yes you can get the ball stealing fiend or you can get defense. I would rather take the player who defends instead of a player who takes too many chances just to steal the ball.

So yes he would average more points, but not more assists. Yes they are indeed better then Nelson when it comes to being a pure pg that is the floor general. Nelson is more like a sg with a shorter then average pg body.

It showed up too often against Rondo who burned him again and again.

They played like they didn't want it and so they lost. End of story. Oh yeah, about the 2 missed free throws...I couldn't believe it either. To see vince miss 2 FTs in a row is rare but hey, **** happens. End of story should be Carter somewhere else after he mailed in it in the Boston series. Carter was a disaster in the Boston series. You need to take off your rose colored glasses and see what really happened.

As to the main part of this topic Carter's contract is expiring considering 14 million is off the books. As to that part where someone said that Carter can't dunk because he leaps so high. That is also a past tense. Carter legs are not in it anymore. Age has caught up to him. Just another overpaid vet. At least he is still playing (sort of) Shaq has not been offered a contract this year. So Carter should consider himself lucky where ever he ends up. Hopefully not with the Magic.

IMO when Carter is traded whoever gets him will buy him out of that little bit of cash. Plus 14 will come off the books and the last time I checked that sounded like an expiring contract. So I don't understand why the new thread about an old subject.

Apparently Barnes did turn down the money. Just found this "Matt Barnes was looking at $7 million over 2 seasons for Cleveland or a chance to win a championship in his home state with the Lakers." Well we all know what he chose. BTW Matt if you hadn't opted out your chances were just as good with the Magic and you would have kept more of the money. Who ever started this thread bite your tongue. Shaq can rot in hell as far as I am concerned when it comes to the Magic. Lucky for us he can't afford to take the vet's min he needs the money because of his fooling around. The divorce is killing him.

Redick is the Chef in the family and teaching wife. It's funny Redick started out only knowing how to cook eggs and boiling water. He states that in an interview. Then he got into cooking lessons and now he is becoming the best chef on the team.
