Manu Ginobili 61 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 I think the Celtics have a young, talented team, but not as deep as the Knicks. Al Jefferson seems to be a force for the years to come, though, and Pierce is an all-star. We have to root as hard as we can for this game. Must-Win for Orlando tomorrow night. Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 Don't worry JD, I got you on this one ;-) quote: Tonight's Game: Magic at Celtics, 7:30 Brian Schmitz | Sentinel Staff Writer Posted March 28, 2007 WHERE: TD Banknorth Garden, Boston. RECORDS: Magic 33-38, Celtics 21-49. TV: Sun Sports; Radio: 580 AM (WDBO); Spanish language: 1030 AM (WONQ). MAGIC UPDATE: Orlando, coming off a critical victory against the New York Knicks on Monday night, are No. 7 in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The No. 8 New Jersey Nets were idle Tuesday night and face the Indiana Pacers tonight. That's a win-win for Orlando, regardless of the outcome. Both teams are chasing the Magic. . . . The Magic canceled their practice scheduled for today at Harvard. . . . Orlando returns home to face the Pacers on Friday at Amway Arena. CELTICS UPDATE: Boston has the worst record in the Eastern Conference. The Memphis Grizzlies have won fewer games than any team in the NBA. . . . The Celtics have lost the first two games of the four-game series, but have won nine of the past 11 games against the Magic in Boston. . . . The Celtics, led by former Magic Coach Doc Rivers, have been ravaged by injuries. F Wally Szczerbiak and G Tony Allen underwent season-ending surgeries while G-F Paul Pierce and F Al Jefferson missed considerable time. WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Magic have been in this scenario before, facing a team they are favored to beat . . . and finding ways to lose. They need to take control early and get their starters some rest, if possible. Holding Pierce to respectable numbers will be key, as will reducing turnovers against the young, aggressive Celtics. bhnole 153 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 Dwight should have a big game against Jefferson and Perkins, neither are very strong. Boston is not a very good shooting team, we need to limit turnovers, offensive rebounds and any easy baskets. Expect big minutes from Ariza defending Pierce, as long as we don't let Pierce breakdown our defense we should win this handily.
Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 Jefferson had a good game vs. Bosh when they beat Toronto. He shut down Bosh to help the C's get the W.
sharp/7/shooter 23 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 i feel bad for siding with the Magic in this game because i'm from MA. i think it's better for both teams if orlando wins
richnba 3 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 I wonder what are the Celtics playing for, thy have no reason to win, thy should be taking a page out of Mephis and try to keep losing. The Magic arent going to take anyone lightly I dont think, or I hope they dont, we contain Paul Pierce we win the game.
CaseyMullen928 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 i dont know. if memphis wanted to lose...they should let kobe score 40 or 50. tell Terance Kinsey that scoring 24 so they win is just UNACCEPTABLE!
