SOME STREAMING OPTIONS;

quote:

With the recent availability of apps such as TVUPlayer (link) and Sopcast (link) and their ability to broadcast TV channels over the internet at what are usually watchable quality levels, the availability of NBA games and, more specifically, Magic games has increased.

In an effort move all such streaming TV-related discussion into a single thread, I've created this thread. Hopefully this can help keep people informed of where and when to catch their NBA games online and also cut down on the large number of threads created to discuss these viewing options.

Please note that you generally need a highspeed connection to access these feeds. Also note that channels on TVUPlayer and Sopcast can regularly appear and disappear at the discretion of the kind individuals hosting them.

TVUPlayer

Relevant channels:

Sopcast

On Sopcast you are more likely to find feeds related to specific events (i.e. games). You will often find games that are broadcast on FSN being shown through this app.

Check this link out when there are Magic games. Chances are, its available for viewing. Coz of hedo Turkoglu.

no that's not true.. the season is much longer..and i think the nets already have the tie breaker anyways... this is an important game, but not as much as you made it seem...

anyways, since we lost yesterday, you'd think that the odds are in our favor to win this one... but i have a feeling that our team won't show up for this game.. let's hope i'm wrong

The Magic aren't really going to win. Brian Hill has the best ways of losing. He's probably the best at losing in NBA history. Did I say NBA history? I meant basketball history.

Gametime notes;

By DAN PIERINGER, STATS Writer

Two teams fighting to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture square off Friday when the Orlando Magic host the New Jersey Nets.

Orlando (31-38) has lost five of its last seven games, but remains in the mix for one of the conference's final two playoff spots. New Jersey (31-37) has won three of five to climb into seventh place despite opening the month with a five-game losing streak.

The Magic will be trying to bounce back from a 92-85 loss to Toronto on Wednesday. Orlando's Dwight Howard had 17 points and 12 rebounds on 6-of-8 shooting, recording his 49th double-double of the season and sixth in seven games. Howard, though, went 5-of-13 from the free-throw line, including two misses late in the fourth quarter.

"It's a little frustrating to let a game like this slip away," Howard said. "If I would have made them it would have kept us in the game."

The Magic shot 37.3 from the field, their second-lowest mark of the season, and were outrebounded 55-38 to match their largest deficit on the boards in 2006-07.

They'll look to put that poor performance behind them when they face a New Jersey team that's won two of three games in the season series heading into Friday's finale.

"What happened in the past is in the past," said Grant Hill, who scored 24 points - one shy of his season high - Wednesday. "We are still in a situation, fighting for our playoff lives and we are still in the hunt. We have to regroup and get ready for Friday night and get ready for the rest of the season."

The Nets are coming off a frustrating defeat of their own. They had a seven-point halftime lead, but were outscored 31-16 in the third quarter en route to a 94-90 home loss to Denver on Tuesday.

For the seventh time in nine games, New Jersey shot under 45 percent from the floor. In their last 13 games, the Nets are 5-1 when shooting 45 percent or better, and 1-6 when finishing below that mark.

"We had some great opportunities but we missed some shots that we should have hit," guard Jason Kidd told the team's official Web site. "We have to live with that and push forward and get ready for Orlando."

The Nets need two of their top scorers to find their range against the Magic. Kidd is shooting just 32.4 percent this month, and Richard Jefferson is connecting on 36.2 percent in his last three contests.

Despite the shooting woes, the Nets have won two in a row on the road to snap a season-high five-game skid away from home. They'll look to keep that streak going as they take on an Orlando club that's lost four of six at Amway Arena since the All-Star break.

New Jersey has dominated the series over the past five seasons, going 15-6 against Orlando since Jan. 12, 2002, including 5-1 over the last two seasons.

Vince Carter scored 32 points to lead the Nets to a 93-78 home win when the teams last met Feb. 10. Howard had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic.

Team Comparison

Team Record Standings PF PA Road/Home Streak L10

New Jersey 31-37 2nd Atlantic / 7th East 97.2 98.6 Road 13-20 Lost 1 3-7

Orlando 31-38 3rd Southeast / 8th East 93.8 94.4 Home 20-14 Lost 1 3-7

New Jersey Notes

Mar 21 New Jersey recorded its third sellout of the season in Tuesday's loss to Denver. ... F Clifford Robinson missed his second straight game with a sprained left knee. ... G Jason Kidd scored just five points on 2-of-12 shooting after being named Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday. ... Coach Lawrence Frank remained two wins behind Byron Scott for the most wins in franchise history with 147. ... New Jersey fell to 10-20 against the Western Conference this season. It does not play another Western Conference opponent this season. ... The Nets have held their last three opponents under 100 points and their last 13 opponents under 50 percent shooting. ... F Mikki Moore tied his career high with four blocks. ... G Vince Carter fouled out for the second time this season. He also fouled out of the Nets' double-overtime loss to Phoenix on December 7.

Orlando Notes

Mar 22 F Grant Hill finished with 24 points and was one off his season-high of 25 points. ... F Hedo Turkoglu, G Jameer Nelson and G Keyon Dooling were a combined 8-of-35 from the field. ... PF Dwight Howard recorded his team-leading 49th double-double of the season finishing with 17 points and 12 assists. ... Nelson hit back-to-back three-point shots in the last 28 seconds to pull the Magic within 4 points with 20 seconds remaining. ... The Magic are now 0-3 versus Toronto this season with one more game remaining.

So once again its a must win situation for the Magic.... And im sure we will win this game, since we had are bad game already.

Will we finally put a winning streak together?

Man I hope so.... as it looks right now the Magic should.... let me repeat that.. "SHOULD" go 10-3 the rest of the way.

Lets go Magic, its time to make a final run!

Its possible.... but if we continue on this phase of winning one and then losing one, then we are not going to make the playoffs
