capacity of the O-rena

Recommended Posts

question...

I am pretty sure the orena has a capacity of somewhere around 17,248...right?

well the announced crowd was like 17,511 or something. where were those extra 300 people? did some people leave early because of the blowout? i saw plenty of empty seats on tv...

someone who went to the game, can they verify a sellout/beyond capacity crowd?

the numbers are usually based on ticket sales not actual turnstyle counts....

what is the exact capacity? I have no clue....but I can find out...

Yes, capacity is 17,248. And, no there were nowhere near that many people there. There were a few empty seats in the lower bowl, and A LOT of empty seats behind the baskets in the upper bowl. Id say there were 15,000 there, max.

thats what i figured wpmagic. i would have expected that place to be overflowing for the first game of the season, with such high expectations. maybe bc it was halloween, or a weeknight...

according to wikipedia, the new arena will house about 18,500. i wonder if we will ever be able to fill it up at this rate.

That is what I think too. I would have gone if it hadn't been Halloween.

Same Here! Wish they were opening tonight.
