Mayhem 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 Even if this were resolved today, they made it sound like it would take a little while to get the channel up and ready. I don't fully understand that rationale, but if that's the case, still no opening night game and I'm still ticked. F Bright House

Mayhem 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 quote: In my opinion this is more on the Magic then brighthouse. I'm definitely not letting the Magic off the hook by any means. This should have been taken care of loooooong ago, the Magic should have met with Bright House prior to this agreement with FSN for half the games. Hence my previous post about not attending any games. That doesn't change and is my way of saying "F the Magic" even though I'll still be a fan.

Mayhem 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 Let's attack those phone lines people! Orlando Magic (407)916-2400 BrightHouse (407) 291-2500 FSN (407) 245-2500
Drain-O 369 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 I will post this here since the Tampa thread might get buried. Bad news!!! This is from FSN Florida Who is your cable or satellite provider? The Panther game is only airing on FSN Florida in South Florida, not in Tampa. The TV listings companies that provide on-screen program listings have it wrong if your guide is showing Panthers. The Magic game will be on FSN Florida, which is Channel 634 on DIRECTV and Channel 423 on DISH Network. It will also be available to Verizon FiOS TV customers in the Tampa region on the FSN Florida channel. Bright House in Tampa however has not signed up for But it won't be the Panthers. If you have Bright House and want to see the Magic games on FSN Florida, we suggest you contact them and let them know you want them to enter into an agreement with FSN Florida to provide this new package of Magic games to their customers in Tampa, as DirecTV, DISH and Verizon have done This is complete and utter bullspit.... Now I am disgruntled. How can the Magic lock out residents in the 2 largest markets for their games without having deals in place first. This is completely unacceptable. At least hope that those of you in Orlando get this worked out before tonight.
ball junkie 277 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 I'm not sure about FSN showing Magic games in Tampa. But I did want to welcome you and hopefully thousands of other Tampa Magic fans to the boards. You know what would be sweeter? You Tampa fans helping the Orlando fans sell out the Amway Arena! Sorry Orlando Magic fans, I'm getting tired of driving from Polk County only too see too many empty seats. Orlando fans have proven they will only support a winner. Being from Kentucky we support basketball programs even when they're 2-20. Get busy ya'll! Let's pack the House!!!!!
Paterno 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 I wrote Brighthouse, and they responded that they had the game scheduled; but it's like you said, their guide shows "TBA". TVguide.com has the Panthers game, which is worst - we already have a hockey team...
