2014 Draft Thread

Recommended Posts

Parker is much better than Harris and is a player more suited to run an offense through.

Agree, however we have Harris and he fits the culture, to me exum and Parker are 1a and 1b, if we had a pg and no sf, Parker would've been the pick, but since we have Harris and is trying to put the right ppl in the right place and build a foundation, you go with exum

Thinking about Oladipo, Wiggins, and Harkless on the fastbreak. That's not even fair.

Probably turns the ball over 20 times per game, all can't pass well :(

Are you really insinuating Exum over Parker? God I'm officially done with this thread till after the draft. Some people just fail to understand the concept of basketball and are clogging these threads up with garbage like this.

So we trade Afflalo, the 4th, and the 12th to get the first overall pick and select... Exum???

We agree with something, for the first time in the history of us.

Probably the worst halfcourt offense in the league though

All 3 are ridiculously young; Oladipo is the oldest of the 3 at 22. Think about that for a second... Plus that is a tremendous amount of defense in that trio.

Offense can be developed, defense not as much, athleticism not at all.

And Harkless can't dribble :(/>/>

Never said he'd be handling the ball. All you need him to do is fly down the court and cut to the basket.

This is completely false :

Wiggins

"Strengths: A freakishly gifted athlete with a remarkably smooth offensive game ... Just about impossible to guard at this level, due to his athletic ability ... Can effortlessly glide around any defender that plays up on him ... Quick first step, and very long strides ... Explosive athleticism ... Once in the paint he either leaps over the defense for a soft runner, or throws down an electric dunk; either way, it's generally a high-percentage shot ... Has great size for either wing position, with a frame that is capable of holding a good amount of weight ... Long wingspan, recently measured at 6'11" ... Fantastic shooter on the perimeter ... Already has NBA range ... Quick trigger, with beautiful shot mechanics ... If the ball isn't in his hands, he likes to spot up in the corner, where he can get off an open shot on cut the baseline for an alley-oop play ... Also has the ability to create separation off the dribble for a pull-up jumper ... Good passing instincts and court vision ... Defensively, he gets a lot of deflections ... Uses length and anticipation to come up with a lot of steals and blocks ... Father played in the NBA ... Extremely young, and will only get better in time ..."

I read the Lakers are looking to move nash for cap space reason and are willing to give 7 to do so...

How about this:

Lakers: Send us 7 and Nash ( clears cap space for bron, melo, monroe, lowry etc etc )

Cavs: Afflalo + 4 + 12

Magic: 1 + 7 + Nash

Dunno if that works just thinking out loud......

DREAMY LOL
