Except, yanno, they've been to four of the last five tournaments, went to the Sweet 16 in 2011, and won the ACC last year. That's not exactly "right above UCF" who has never won a tournament game.

Except FSU's greatest year would be considered a terrible year at Duke, Carolina or Kansas. Very rarely do the big boys miss the tourney and very rarely do the Noles do well in it or in fact show up at all. Showing up in the tourney and making a quick exit like FSU has done on their very very best years doesnt land you a #1 prospect. Ill restate it again...a notch above UCF and waaay below the elite. When your school motto is "its our year" again and again and AGAIN its easy to see a university over estimate their standing amongst the elite. Two legacy parents and the guy stiffs em...that says it all.

FYI FSU has 2 more NCAA tourney appearances than UCF in the last two decades and only 4 more wins than UCF in the tourney over that 2 decade period. Oh and both of Michael Jordans kids went to UCF which should make it a virtual dead heat. Just sayin.

I agree with you that they shouldn't get a #1 prospect, but you're still selling the program very short.

stevekylerNBA: Jacque Vaughn joined Magic group for interviews... Magic exploring all their options.

Magic finishing up today... Will look at a lot of players in this process. they are being super thorough with this draft.

I think this is excellent news. It's such a relief to finally trust our FO.

Trey Burke is an average at best point guard with little upside. The thought of taking him above Noel or McLemore is sickening. Cheers.

I hope you get sick on draft day then. Burke is gonna have a huge career it might as well be for us. Burke-or-bust :)

1. Our motto isn't "this is our year" it's "how long until football season"

2. All fsu fans realize this opportunity will never happen again.

3. Winning tournament games, winning the acc, and beating top 10 teams regularly makes fsu a tier 3 basketball school and much much better than ucf.

I read a mock on bleacher (not a great site, I know), and they had the T-Wolves trading their pick, plus Derrick Williams and Greg Shiemsma for the Bobcats pick and Tyrus Thomas. The T-Wolves take McLemore nd the Bobcats take Len. So it got me thinking, would we consider the same deal if we gave them Big Baby and our pick for their pick, Derrick Williams and Shiemsma?

Williams would be an excellent addition at small forward and would push Harkless to move. At the PF we have Harris and Nicholson, and at C we have Vučević, O'Quinn and Shiemsma. At the guards we have Nelson and AA. So that would allow us to take a PG like McCollum, Schroeder or MCW; or a SG like Oladipo, Bazz or Caldwell-Pope. Granted they are projects, but a few of them have decent ceilings. So if Henny isn't sold on Noel, McLemore or Burke, then trading back for this type of deal could be an option.

MCW and CJ McCollum have pulled out of the combine drills scheduled for tomorrow

it's obvious why MCW did because he's terrible but McCollum's decision is a bit more curious

I wouldn't worry about it. Quite a few guys won't take part in the drills, as long as they work out for teams it won't matter.
