No kidding   this is the second or third time this has happened.   We get an unexpected win, and the teams we are trying to move up on,

who were both underdogs, also win. Very frustrating   I think the refs must have said "oh no, we cant let orlando move up"  lol

either that or we forgot to sacrifice AB's hair to the basketball gods  :)

Hopefully the Bucks can beat the 76ers tomorrow and the Heat can drop some games on this west coast trip they're on.

Random NBA observation - Cam Johnson was moved to the bench last night for the Nets. Many on this board wanted him last summer. Is he worth pursuing via trade this summer?

Probably not. He is a great shooter but doesn't do much else. If we did get him he is a bench piece because where would he start? He can't defend smaller quicker guards and all our forwards are getting more minutes then him. He is a big slow guard or an undersized forward. Yes he would be good to have right now because he would fill the role that Jett or Caleb Houston should be doing if they had more exp or minutes. But at starter money and that's the problem.

We should all be positive, this will be the first winning season for the Magic since the 2018-2019 season. How high we are seeded is important. However, the match-up is all that really matters. What team we play, are we healthy, are they healthy. If we stay healthy you can see with the schedule the Magic should finish a good amount of games over .500. Our seeding depends on the health of the teams above us.

Anyone can see the Knicks and Sixers will continue to lose until they get players back on the court. Goal should be sixth seed but could be better.

I would but only if it wasn't super costly. That contract is pretty big and he's having a down year. Plus he's at best the 4th best player on a sub .500 team, what is that worth?

That being said Suggs/Franz/Cam/Paolo/WCJ is a pretty spicy lineup.

I like Cam Johnson a lot. He is a great shooter. I remember when he played for the Phoenix Suns and how he helped the Suns with his sharp shooting prowess and making it far into the playoffs last season. The Suns played the Denver Nuggests in the Western Conf. seminals but was eliminated 4-2.

According to Basketball  Reference, Cam is 6'8"; plays power forward and small forward, averages 13.5 pts in the current 23-24 season. I remember when Steph use to be terrible at defending, and his teammates covered up for his deficiency on defense. He has gotten better.

I thought most Magic fans complained about needing shooters.

Cam has played in 42 games with the Nets this season. It's not like he has been a bench warmer.

Cam not only plays for the Brooklyn Nets, he is on the United States Basketball Team.

That’s a really interesting lineup

The Brooklyn Nets lost  101 - 86 to Minnesota last night (Saturday night). Their record is 21-35 and it looks like they may not make the playoffs.

Can the Nets conduct a buyout of Cam Johnson so that he can become available to the Magic at a cheaper price?

Edit: Cam played 22 minutes in that game and scored 10 pts. off the bench.

Nah, Cam Johnson is too young and too good to get bought out.
