Bold strategy trying to win the game by missing every shot

You had this game figured from the beginning. Definitely counterintuitive.

As badly as we played tonight, and we were horrendous, it was only a four point game at the half. I wish Biyombo would have started in the second half instead of Vuch. I was listening to the Pacers color guy on the radio and when Biyombo was taken out towards the later part of the second quarter, he was ecstatic. Biyombo was tearing them up while he was in and between him and Payton more or less kept us in it.

Vuch was not just terrible on offense tonight. His effort on defense was non-existent. He didn't even try to stop anything at the start of the second half, and before you know it we were down 10. Between him missing shots on the one end and failing to defend on the other, Vuch gets my "goat of the game" award for basically throwing the game away single handedly.

Why Vogel didn't take him out after a couple of minutes is a separate question.

Sure, but then why are we bottom 3 in the league in all team defensive numbers?

Defense is requires hustle and effort, not a lot of that going around at the minute. Vogel has been dealt a bad hand, if we think this team is inconsistent from a fans perspective (like Ibaka ...) how maddening must it be for him!

3 people come out of this well (well ... as well as you can) Payton, Biz, Gordon. Can they all play together though? You would need to support them with two dynamic scorers / shooters. Do we have that on this roster???

There just doesn't seem to be any plan in the make up of this team, if there is one it was a single minded 'defend the paint' ...
