Rob can't come out and say "this season has been a failure, we're going to throw it away and look toward the offseason." He and ownership promised playoffs and it's not all-star break yet. However, he appears delusional if he really thinks this roster is a small tweak or two away from contending. There's plenty of sample size now that shows we're one of the worst teams in the league. Frank Vogel has tried every combination he could with this roster with no positive results and if Rob truly believed that one small tweak was all it took in the form of a trade, he would've made it a month ago.

You are correct on each front. Someone has to be responsible for this mess though, if someone doesn't go down then we will be viewed as another step closer to Sacto-level dysfunction...rightfully so or not.
