2017 NBA Draft Thread

Recommended Posts

He's 6'10 with a long wingspan. He'll be fine. Probably grows this summer and will be damn near 7'0 when the season starts.

The key to not letting muscle mass affect ones shooting is to not ignore the reps. Plenty of guys hit there weights and shot isn't affected because they shoot a ton of shots while lifting .

That'd be great. I hope he does develop on an accelerated curve. The better he gets the more likely we are to attract good free agents.

One thing I got from yesterday's introductory presser was that Iwundu is an intense dude. Hopefully thatll translate to the court and he'll be a contributor.

The only issue I really have with the draft is the handling of the 25th pick. Just wasn't enough. No upside in that deal.

Also, I would have liked to nab Ojeleye/Evans/Mason at 33.

Really think Boston got a steal when they drafted Semi.

Issac wouldn't have been my pick at 6 but if we're swinging for the fences and going upside I get it.

If Vuc is traded and the Magic get a good PG, things can turn out alright depending on the development of the current players on the roster. I think a lot also hinges on Vogel's evolution as a coach. He proved to be pretty stubborn last year, but maybe he's changed now that he'll have a whole offseason with the roster. I hope he took some time to look over new strategies and game plans.

The thing I'm most worried about right now is spacing. AG and Isaac together can make things difficult. Throw Payton into the mix and the lane will become very crowded very quickly. At least two of those three need a respectable jumper for it to work (especially if Biyombo is in at the 5 [shudder]).

I dislike the idea of playing youth with Biyombo almost as much as running the offense through Vucevic.

Isaac needs to come off of the bench at first, he is 19 and skinny as hell. Let him adjust to the rigors of the NBA. Stagger him and AG with Evan, Ross, Mario.

We'll find out in the preseason. He might be fine.

He may not be physically ready from a weight standpoint but he is ready to play. He will already be one of our better defenders.

Miles Turner averaged around 22 min, Giannis 24, Porzingas and Ingram around 28/29.

Every minute Green/Rudez/Watson got belongs to Isaac/Mario.

I see him starting the season coming off the bench a lot like Brandon Ingram did with the lakers last year then around the halfway point start giving him some starts

Okay if we can play Mario at 3, Gordon at 4, and Isaac at 5 and start building around that then I'll be a lot happier

Stop it with the Mario nonsense, the guy can't play and we shouldn't be building anything around him except maybe a wall so he can't get onto the floor.

I don't think you're the final word on that.
