Isn't Smith a bad 3 point shooter? he's streaky and currently shooting 38% from 3. he's going to be like kemba walker where he's probably going to shoot something like 32% year 1 but he'll hit open ones and is quick enough to make space to score so it's not as much of an issue as Payton. and it's not an issue with form so he projects to be a good shooter down the line. The thing with payton was never the shooting. It's shooting + not having a way to impact the offense when they just left him open. Smith can get to the rim at will.
